Korkers Dark Horse Wading Boot - Men's reviews and deals for sale
There are rivers where a felt-soled boot is essential to staying upright when you wade deeper into the river, and there are others where a lugged sole is the preferred weapon of choice when stepping through slick river slime and polished gravel. The Korkers Dark Horse Men's Wading Boot gives you the ability to adapt to either scenario thanks to its OmniTrax interchangeable sole system. A felt sole provides superior traction when the river bottom is mossy and slick, and the lugged rubber sole makes short work of gravely banks and sandy river bottoms. A quick and secure Boa dial closure system keeps these boots tight around your feet when confronted with the constant pull and tug of the river's current, and the internal drainage system allows water to quickly exit the boot as you walk upstream to the next run.

August 30, 2019Wonderful Boot
Wonderful boot. Very sturdy. The BOA system works great for me. Very easy to get in and out of. I like that you can tighten the boot at the start of the day and if it feels a bit tighter as the day goes on you just pull the BOA button out to loosen and then push it back in a tighten accordingly. I got the wading socks with the boots so with the wading socks and a regular pair… read more of socks my feet are extremely comfortable. So far, I've only used the felt sole and it's worked great, never came loose and stuck to the rocks better than anticipated. The one thing I could say to look for is that the boots are tall. If your waders have a somewhat short foot height, the seam on the waders may be within the boot above the ankle, and cause a rub point. Other than that, I hight recommend Korkers Dark Horse Wading Boots.

August 12, 2019versatile, hoping for long-term durabil.
This is my 3rd pair of korkers. Over the years I've accumulated a bunch of the soles (basically all the varieties) so I'm sort of 'all in' on the modular design. I generally get 2-4 seasons of use before some catastrophic failure sends them to the river in the sky. Hoping these prove at least as durable as my prior boots. The boa on this looks to be a better lacing design than… read more my prior Boas. And the rubber toe bumper looks to protect against a material tear/seam failure if you get a toe wedged in between boulders.

August 1, 2019Boa doesn't cinch evenly
These boots really seem like they could be awesome. They are comfortable and seem like they'd allow me to be on my feet all day. If only they had regular laces. The boots are quite wide in the toe box area, and this is coming from someone who has seriously wide (9EE) feet. With the Boa system, the boots allow too much space down in the toe box. Not usually a problem when you… read more can grab the laces and snug them down. But with the Boa system, I find that it doesn't evenly tighten, and it ends up cutting off circulation at the top ankle area to get the bottom even close to tight enough. I will be returning to find another pair with laces that I can cinch down myself at the bottom.

September 1, 2017These Boots Kick Donkey!
These are my first fly fishing boots, so I have very little to compare...but these boots kick ass! They are extremely comfortable, warm and overall great traction on the rocks. I was in 40 degree water for hours and never felt the need to come out. In addition we rode in on horseback and for part of the ride I kept these on while on the horse and in stirrups. Fantastic boot!… read more Thank you Korkers!
