I read the reviews on this and decided this has to be THE BEST PFD on the market. So, I was a little surprised that it was no longer being made. Fortunately, Backcountry has them in stock. I like that I can keep lots of things in it when I go paddling, or just out on the water. Especially since my pockets are covered by a PFD. It does fit true to the sizing chart. So, an M/L works… read more for me with a 43" chest. It will fit up to a 49" chest measurement (include what you will wear underneath it).

May 14, 2015How much does this weigh? I'm actually looking for a basic pfd, as lightweight (and small?) as possible for packrafting while backpacking. Free arm movement for paddling would be great. Thanks.

I find that this fabric drinks water and isn't very wind resistant. Is it possible that the DWR was applied poorly or not at all?
