Klymit Static V Sleeping Pad reviews and deals for sale

No one actually sleeps without moving, and it's never fun to wake up on the cold and uncomfortable ground, so get some shuteye on the Klymit Static V Sleeping Pad. It's nearly two feet wide, so you have some room to wiggle, and it features dynamic side rails to keep you from rolling off the pad while you dream about doing the worm. The V-chamber design is optimized to keep you comfortable and warm with the minimum amount of material, too, so the Static V weighs just about one pound and compresses to the size of a water bottle for easy packing.

0 stars. It does not hold air past one hour of blowing it up.

Great value

Took this car camping and my wife and I both used our own and found them very comfy and easy to inflate. Also very easy to deflate and pack up which is equally important

No complaints about this pad! It was light and packable, easy to set up, and I slept great on it!

For the price there is no better pad!

Love the Static V for most of my car camping and backpacking trips. It is super easy to inflate and deflate, and really comfortable to sleep on. Love the shape that helps us who roll around, not to fall off of the pad! For under $60 it is a great deal for a great product!

Tough for me to love

I used it in 3 different situations 1. car camping. I used this for a night in the back of my Jeep, and I didn't think it was inflated properly. I blamed it on the fact that I was sleeping in a car. 2. a sandy beach bottom. I loved it on this. It kept me right above the sand, and had a good flex to it. Comfortable. 3. camping in the wilderness. this was another tough spot ot be read more in. the ground was solid, so the sleeping pad wasn't ideal.

Little sister's first sleeping pad

"It was my first time using a sleeping pad so I was skeptical of the comfort and ease of set up. Inflating it (same process as a balloon) took no time or effort at all and it stayed inflated for 2 comfy nights!" I've used this one for backpacking myself and for weight to comfort I think this is the best ratio you can get. And for the price, it's a STEAL. One of the best deals you read more can get for backpacking equipment that'll last. I'm a side sleeper and still couldn't feel the ground. It's been lovely waking up without soreness. A good night's sleep is invaluable on the trail and if even my little sister who's only ever used a mattress was comfy, how can you go wrong? The little sister had the same pad but it deflated the first night. We guessed it was user error but we'll keep on eye on it.

Even more amazing then I thought it'd be

This thing was spectacular! All blown up it's about 3 inches thick. I toss and turn alot when I sleep and usually roll off my pads. This one however seems to move with me while I slept. I have a hip replacement and have trouble sleeping on the ground. This thing made every camp site just like sleeping in my bed at home. I was worried at first about how things the material seemed. read more But after putting her through the wringer I have not experienced any holes in it yet. But when the first one happens they have even provided you with a patch and some glue to repair it. I highly recommend it to everyone of my camping buddies. I do wish one of these bed pad companies would make a built in pillow vestible at the top though. I really feel that it would not be hard to add that component to it.

Great lightweight option!

This is a great backpacking pad. For how small it packs down it inflates large and holds air well. It can feel deceiving when you are sitting on it, but once you lay down and distribute weight it does very well. I slept through the night, for the two nights that I used this sleeping pad. Another plus is that it easily packs back into its storage bag.

Great for side sleepers!

I used this pad for my trip into the Wind River Range and knew it was going to be a great pad from the moment i laid on it. The night before we started our hike we crammed 6 of us in a tiny hotel room. I was fortunate enough to sleep on the floor and remember stressing about potentially not getting a great night sleep before our biggest day of hiking. I slept like a baby. The most read more impressive part was how comfortable the pad was to sleep on your side. Needless to say i slept well every night and definitely recommend this pad to anyone!

Perfect

I love this sleeping pad. I’m a side sleeper, and it works great. I also have lower back issues that it accommodates pretty well. Not as great as sleeping at home in bed, but best I’ve experienced on the trail. Otherwise it’s well but with a great valve that doesn’t require twisting - just push/pull. Recommend leaps and bounds above any Therm-A-Rest I’ve owned.

Great for the price and easy to inflate

This is my first sleeping pad ever and I like it quite a bit. It was affordable, it's easy to inflate (though it holds air like a balloon, i.e. the air will whoosh back out at you when you pause to take in more breath if you don't stopper the valve in some way, so there's a technique to doing it), and it stays inflated overnight really well. I am a side sleeper and was definitely read more much more comfortable using this over my previous sleeping "pad" (a folded up blanket for car camping!) It's also really lightweight, more so than I would have expected, though I know nothing about weights and r values as far as backpacking goes. For my purposes, car camping and some short backpacking trips, this should be perfect.

Good Pad, Good Comfort, Great Value!

This pad is very lightweight and small and comfortable especially for the cost! the size is great when going light and fast and it is plenty comfortable to get good sleep to be ready to push hard on your adventures.

Lightweight And Comfy.

Klymit does it again with the Static V! It inflates quickly, making the most out of your breaths. I would suggest utilizing this specific pad during all seasons, excluding winter. With a 1.3 R value, you'll want to stick to Spring through Fall. Also, the pad packs down to the size of a Nalgene. Love it!

Wonderful pad!

It has been loyal to me through 2 years now - but only deteriorated because I failed to dry it out properly after camping in the monsoon. Mold got to it, and i think the spores degraded the material, so it doesn't stay inflated through the night anymore. I'm really bummed, because it has proved extremely practical in all 3 seasons I've put this through (would not recommend for wintr-y read more settings, as it kills my fingers to fold up when it's cold out, and it's only R1.3!). I don't sleep particularly hot or cold, and I'm comfortable sleeping on this and a 20F bag down to 30F on bare ground. Have used this in the high-Arctic with permafrost around ~0.5m below the ground and air temperatures around 35, and got chilly on my back. If I add a normal foam pad under it, I am warm AND comfortable - really important for me since an old collarbone injury will keep me up with unpadded pads. It took me a while to figure out how to most efficiently repack this, but once I got it down, it was really easy. My tactic is to roll it up once to get most of the air out, then fold it in half and roll it up. I fold it again lengthwise, and stuff it into the stuff sack. Takes a little bit longer than others, but it's worth it for me considering the price! When it comes down to it, this is a really phenomenal pad - would highly recommend it for all early fall, late spring, and all summer activities!

Great Sleeping Pad

This is a great pad. It is very compact and lightweight, making it easy to pack for any trip. The pad is very easy to blow up and deflate. It blows up very fast with minimal effort. It is comfy to sleep on and stays inflated. I usually have to just add a little bit of air each night. This was my first sleeping pad and I loved how easy it was to use, and I was surprised at how comfy read more it was.

Does not stay inflated

I bought this pad based on reviews. It seemed like a great pad for the price. It is very comfortable when it is fully inflated but I have not managed to get through an entire night without losing almost all of the air. I am not sure if it the valve that is leaking but I can't fine a hole anywhere.

Really good lightweight pad

Super lightweight and very compact, a great option for lightweight backpacking trips. It blows up super quickly by mouth, I think I only needed about 8-10 breaths to get it inflated to max capacity. That brings me to my issue though. I am only 165lbs, and bringing the pad to the highest pressure I could breathing into it alone, I felt like I was touching the ground at a couple read more points. I am a side sleeper and have admittedly bony hips, and my hips in particular were hitting the ground when I was on my side. I do like the small size and weight of the pad, so for when I need to pack light I will still bring it, but when I am doing more luxurious outings (river trips, car camping) I may bring a thicker pad.

good sleeping pad.

I went to scout camp with this. it was amazing, I would say that you could feel the baffles but when you put the sleeping bag on top of it makes it AMAZING. It was very easy to blow up. i would say the only miner issue with it was that the dirt was hard to get off the baffles. over all very good product.

Backpacking With this Pad

Not sure how this would work on the ground but on the wood platform I kept sliding off this pad all night long. Seems when I was on it it was kinda of comfortable. Sometimes the air bumps (thats what they can feel like) were digging into my back. Think I will stick with another sleeping pad. My son in the photo.
