I used this for the first time on a recent trip. The stove boils quickly and packs well.

Works but low quality

I bought this after all the hype on what a great product this was. Wanted to ditch, the bring a pot with me on solo backpack trips this winter. After a few uses this winter on backpacking trips I have to say it works but pretty low quality. Igniter had issues from the start, fixed it, now it’s stopped again. I’ve also had problems getting a good seal, replace the o ring and that seamed to do the trick last trip. Not sure if it was just too cold or what. Really like the design and it boils really fast, but after a few issues this early on I don’t predict it will last very long. Going to try the msr version next.

Faulty Igniter

The igniter on the jet boil base burner stopped working during the first trip I took it on. The igniter no longer sparks up to create a flame when the gas is turned on... a lighter works in push-button igniter, but its a bummer for a pricey item that could be replaced by a pot and a compact canister stove like the pocket rocket or BSR.

Boils Fast

Use this primarily to boil water to make coffee. Brings water to a boild in a minute or two. Easy to assemble and pack back together. A must have for backpacking or traveling around.

Solid Stove

I've been taking mine out on trips for 4 years or so. Not once has it failed me. Igniter still works and everything!

A Must Have!

A Jetboil is an essential and necessary camping/backpacking item for me. The quick start makes this so easy to use. Such efficient way to cook and boil water all with being extremely pack-able. If you don't have one, you need one!

Solid stove

Jet boil is a standard trail side for a reason; easy to use and easy to clean. If you want a solid, simple stove to use, use this one.

Nice boil

This Jetboil is super nice to bring camping. I use this to cook my mountain houses rather than bring my huge stove. Its small enough to pack away and it's pretty light for a stove. It boils water insanely fast as well! I won't go camping without it.

Quick and light

Compact, lightweight and boils water faster than you can say coffee.

Speedy Hot Water

Lightweight and convenient. This thing is great to throw in your pack for some quick tea at the summit or as your main cooking feature on a backpacking trip. Boils water in 100 seconds! Crazy. Be sure to get 4-season fuel if you're using it in the winter, though.

Years and years of use

I had to pick up a new one because i stored it wet and i had some rust build up on the flash i have had for over 5 years. I got a new one because it has been so dependable and efficient through years of use. Great easy go to water boiler!

Clutch

Weather im making coffee while camping, reheating chili on top of a mountain, boiling water for my dinner. It always comes in CLUTCH! Should be part of everyone gear!

Must Have for Overnight Trips

I use my JetBoil just to boil water. But I use that water for coffee and freeze dried food. Love the speed and efficiency and "take-it-anywhere" convenience of the JetBoil. Perfect for One

This is the best personal cooking stove out there, you can boil water in a very short period of time, cook other dry items in it while camping, and pack everything down nice and small. I love that the logo on the side tells you when the water is boiling by changing color, and everything fits just right.

Can't beat

have used one of these for over 5 years prior to buying this replacement (I lost the other one) and they are awesome! Nothing better for lightweight, rapid boiling of water in the backcountry. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for this specific purpose (quick and easy boiling of water).

Life Changing

Alright - let me tell you. I went backpacking in Coyote Gulch with some friends this summer. Majority of us brought our own cooking stove. After one night, we all shared just this one Jetboil. Why? Because it was faster than anything else we had, was easy to use, and heats water extremely fast and is super clean and mess proof! This one packs easy as well as everything fits inside of itself. Basically this guy is fool proof and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone. Can't go wrong and you should buy it ASAP. Great for Car Camping and Backpacking

I've had a flash stove for a few years now and I bought it with the intention of using as a backpacking stove. Like many, I do not backpack as much as I'd like to but the stove has served it's purpose when making coffee and dehydrated meals while keeping things relatively lightweight. I've used this stove more frequently on car camping or river trips as my go to water boiler for… read more coffee. It boils water at a rapid pace and has me drinking coffee before the rest of the crew wakes up. It doesn't boil a ton of water so you won't be preparing coffee for 30 people but for a couple people using a pour over, perfection. The color changing indicator on the side of the pot no longer works but it's not hard to tell when water is boiling. Love it so much, I just bought one as gift. Gamechanger!

Super Reliable

Lights up every time, I had an issue with wind blowing the flame out, but that was on me for picking a dumb spot, not on the stove. Used for a party of 4-6 on several trips and it worked like a charm and was very efficient as far as fuel usage. Also it's a nice way to passive aggressively wake up late sleepers.

Quick and convenient

Extremely convenient, very fast, easy to setup, and packs away into itself. Great for any water boiling needs when out camping. 2 cups of water boils in less than 1.5 minutes which is great when you are starving or wanting that morning cup of coffee. Additionally, when packing it away everything fits into the “cup” part so it doesn’t take up a large amount of space in your backpack or camping box. It works with fuel other than jetboils, but the 3rd party fuel canisters won’t fit into the cup when storing.
