Icebreaker BodyFit 200 Oasis Legging - Women's reviews and deals for sale

Icebreaker made its BodyFit 200 Oasis Leggings for the constantly changing conditions of the mountain. The merino wool construction helps keep your legs warm when the wind tries to cut through your ski pants and wicks away moisture on those mogul runs when you start to sweat. The natural odor controling properties of the Merino wool construction keeps you and your leggings fresh throughout the entire day on the slopes. Flatlock seams prevent chafing for comfortable movement through every mogul and cat track, while a brushed elastic waistband is soft and snug against your skin.

Warm and versatile. I’d hand wash though

I bought these at the beginning of the season and have worn them frequently. They are comfy and very warm without being bulky. I do not find them itchy or scratchy at all. I do have several holes in them though, which is disappointing. I have been machine washing them, I’ll be more careful with my next pair and hand wash only.

Great Baselayer

I bought this base layer for backpacking. I like to hike in skirts, so when it gets cold I just throw on this base layer underneath and I'm good to go. Its so great at wicking that I have worn then straight from the trail and into my sleeping bag without being worried about getting cold from moisture. In the winter these are one of favorite layers for skiing. The hold up well read more and maintain their shape even through many hours of hard riding.

Great Baselayer!

This base layer is one of my favorites so far! It doesn't stretch out throughout the day, so it doesn't look baggy by the end of a ski day and the waist band fits perfectly, not to big or not to small. The leggings are a little bit see through but they are super warm on the slopes under a ski pant. This base layer is also very comfy and very soft!

Love the fit, feel and color, but...

I'm really short, stocky with an athletic build, and I bought the size S which are perfect because they don't fit skin tight on me. I use them mostly to lounge around the house or for bed when I don't sleep at home. I would've gotten the XS if my intent was to use them as a fitted baselayer under clothing. I love that they're navy blue and not black, and they're really warm and read more soft. However, I got a small hole in one knee area the first night I wore them - bummer! I just put some fabric glue to keep it from getting bigger; so far it's been working even after a few washing machine runs on gentle cycle (but no protective bag). I use white vinegar which may be also why they feel more supple.

Good Quality, Not Made For my Body Type

The leggings are super soft, lightweight and sweatwicking. Not made to fit my body type. I am an xs with a petite build. The sizing is not what I prefer. The leggings fit` loose, also they are a bit see through. I suggest them for skiing and snowboarding base layer but not for day to day.

Comfy and Warm Baselayer

I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I received the Icebreaker BodyFit 200 Oasis Legging and the matching half zip and really like the legging. The fit is great, more true to size than the top. I found the top to by too itchy to wear without a layer underneath but the leggings don’t bother me. I wear them under my ski pants for ski touring read more and the keep me warm and also to smell horrible after I’ve been sweating a ton. I would definitely recommend the Icebreaker BodyFit 200 Oasis Legging for cold weather adventures.

Awesome base layer!

I took these on a recent trip to Idaho and it was pretty cold overnight, these helped me to stay warm while sleeping! They were really comfortable and a little higher waisted on me which I really liked! The fit and feel was really good! I am excited to put them to the real test once it snows! But first impressions were really good! I wear them around the house too because they are read more so comfy!

Baselayer of Queens

I love these new baselayers! They're warm, and move with you when you are active. They definitely feel like a baselayer instead of a stand alone tight though.

A good go to layer

These are my go to layer for a snow day above freezing. They're comfy enough to lounge around the house and the wool doesn't itch me. The band is similar to the icebreaker boy short underwear I own and is a little tight but not uncomfortable.

Just What I Was Looking For

All tech without overtly looking like it! I was looking for a pair of merino tights that could be worn as standalone leggings when I wanted to, and these are perfect. When I'm not wearing them I'll be utilizing them as baselayers while skiing or running. I was expecting a slightly thinner material (think thin like Patagonia's Silkweight stuff), but these are more comparable in read more thickness to the Cap 3 from Patagonia's line - despite the fact that they're not synthetic whatsoever. The merino is just thick-enough without being overwhelming, not to mention it wicks away moisture and dries quickly. I purchased an XS, and they fit great! The length of the legs is pretty darn perfect - think little to no bunching. Admittedly, I was a little wary of how the waist band would fit (simply because I dislike muffin top pinchage and often have to compromise leg fit for waist fit or vice versa), however it fits really quite comfortable. I wear them higher on my hips and wear a 24/25 and XS in Patagonia bottoms across the board for fit reference.

Warm nice fitting leggings

So far, I have worn these leggings as a base layer under my hiking pants, and they fit great. They have kept me warm on cold days, and, when the weather warmed up, i was still comfortable! They washed very well. (Delicate cycle, hang dry) Very happy with my purchase :)

My favorite baselayer

While a little short in the legs, it doesn't bother me as I use these for skiing. They're very warm but not bulky. If it's cold, I wear another pair of wool pants over these and it's not uncomfortable. The waist band is nice and you can't even notice it when you're wearing other pants over these. I have't worn them for too long but they appear to be stretching or sagging in the read more knees and butt!

love the fit retention

i hated how my midweight smartwool baselayer would stretch out so easily. these keep me super warm on active days and retain their fit pretty well too! not itchy at all, and are super cute on.

Best. Base layer. Ever.

Thank you to Backcountry.com and Icebreaker for hand-selecting me to review this piece of gear for the benefit of the backcountry.com community!! OLD PHOTO - but I own full length (pictured), as well as the legless version. I said this product runs large because they tend to stretch out. I'm a size 6 in jeans and I have a medium and could potentially pull off a small if read more I wanted them tighter. It's not spandex. I wouldn't use them to run if you're looking to "hold things in." That said, I don't think I would size down because I'm using it as a base layer, not to run in. I've used the full length version under my ski pants (arcteryx shell) and been toasty warm on the west coast and the icy East coast. I would say the coldest it's been would be - 12 with this combo of base layer and shell. The legless version is also amazing but better for the fall and spring. I wore them alone with a tshirt and a down jacket on a chilly morning. They gave me the right amount of warmth without being overly hot. These things don't smell! My favorite thing about merino wool it it's ability to wick and smell amazing. Ok, maybe not amazing, it is wool after all. But aside from skiing (without washing for a week straight) these rock for hiking for a few days too. Seriously, solid base layer.. Wouldn't use anything else. Old photo... And I was being Goofy, but they seriously.... Check out my layers...

So cozy...

I love merino, and I love these leggings. I ordered the lotus color, and they are a darker purple than the picture shows (more like eggplant in person). They are true to size, and well constructed. I will be wearing them as a baselayer for skiing, around the house on chilly days, and under a skirt for running around town.
