Icebreaker 200 Oasis Fly Legging - Men's reviews and deals for sale
You've learned from experience that the tail end of every season is the best time to get out in the mountains—late fall trail runs consist of empty trails, tacky conditions, and misty mountain views, and spring skiing usually equates to a stable snowpack, creamy spring corn, and tourist-free mountains. The Icebreaker Men's BodyFit 200 Oasis Legging With Fly thrives in these kind of conditions thanks to its lightweight merino wool fabric that's breathable, temperature regulating, and naturally odor-resistant. Icebreaker's 200 weight fabric is best suited for cool to cold conditions (fall, spring, and mild winter temperatures) and is specifically designed to be worn all year.

April 12, 2019Perfect
My go-to baselayer now for snowboarding , winter camping and windy-day biking. Fits well, dries quickly. As per usual, Icebreaker is worth the extra cost.

March 6, 2019Love those merino sheep!
I was given this base layer from Backcountry, but the opinion is my own. I have worn this base layer bottom mostly for ski touring and have found them to be the perfect blend of warmth and breathability. At first they tended to feel a little harsh on my skin, but they became softer after a few days out and a few washes. I have also use a Patagonia capilene base layer in the past… read more and find them to be softer on the skin and equally breathable, but the odor resistance of merino wool makes these great for extended trips where you would like to keep the odiferous nature of your layers to a minimum. Looking forward to many uses in the future!

February 18, 2019great baselayer
Note: I was given these to review I've now put these leggings through around 20 resort and ski touring days and I really have no complaints. They fit me, as a person with mostly legs and no upper body, quite well. I quite like the tighter ankles compared to some of the other merino base-layers I've used... which end up bunching up and folding over inside the ski boot. The fabric… read more is also slightly softer than some of the other merinos I've worn, but that doesn't equate to any extra warmth or anything, just comfort. Warmth: I have gore tex pro shell pants (no liner) and these have been comfortable from ~0F on the ski lift to above freezing. Ski touring with these I get pretty sweaty when it gets close to freezing, but I find them useful to almost freezing. Being wool, they wick well and generally stay quite warm even if they get wet / sweaty. Fit: As I said above, I really like the fit. I used the tool on icebreakers website to determine my size, and for the leggings I feel they really nailed it. Tight ankles, and no loose fabric hanging out around the legs and waist. They are the best fitting base layer tights I own. For reference I am a 31" waist (with cyclist legs) and 33" inseam. Wear and tear: They have held up great so far. No pilling or tears at any of the seams. I wash them after every ~3 ski days (as they do a great job resisting smell), and they still look no different than when I received them. I'm very happy with these icebreaker leggings! If I needed another pair of leggings, I would buy these!

January 14, 2019Best Baselayer Out There
I have never been huge on legging baselayers. My legs do not get very cold in general, and I never like having restricted leg movement. I got these Oasis leggings because they are so light, ergonomic, and comfortable. The 200 weight is a very nice middle ground. I have worn these for night skiing a couple times when it was especially cold. They are heavy enough to keep you nice… read more and toasty, but they are so light that you hardly feel them once you have them on. The times I have really been grateful to have these leggings are out camping. These are great to retain heat under your shells camping in fall and winter when you're sitting around camp, and they are a good layer to sleep in as well without overheating. If you tend to run hot I would recommend the 150 weight, and conversely the 250 if you run cold. Icebreaker made a great base layer that is super comfortable and will be very useful in your outdoor wardrobe!

December 22, 2018Great base layer
I was given the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Leggings from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. I have always been a skier/boarder/hiker who would rather be a little too cold than a little too hot. Due to this fact, I haven't used a lot of layers. I was given these both the leggings and the long sleeve shirt. They are AWESOME. From everything I have read, its probably… read more the use of merino wool, but I can't speak high enough about them. They regulate heat so well! I wore these hiking in sub 30 degree weather with just a light hiking pant and did well, and have also used them skiing and boarding up at the bird without feeling like I overheated(expect one day, but probably more my fault by wearing it in +40F weather. Even then, it wicked sweat really well so I didn't rebound to being cold. I even used them on a trip to Bandon, OR and wore them while golfing and was the best decision!! The leggings were great fit, the top seemed a little short/small

December 7, 2018Get These Leggings
I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I got the large size of Icebreaker Men's 200 Oasis. Prior to this my experience was with the mid-weight (200) base layer from Smartwool (which I love), but I will definitely be adding this to the repertoire. This is a great base layer. I live in the warmer climes of Las Vegas, but our winters can… read more get a bit chilly (relatively) - especially at night. I wore the leggings quite a bit over the past month, including activities such as some light jogging in the evening, some Muay Thai practice in my unheated garage, as well as just out at dinner or around the house. The Icebreaker base layer was great in every instance. I felt it transitioned well (going from Muay Thai in the garage to relaxing in the house, for example) without being too cold or too warm in either case. The temperature regulation was great. I didn't walk around in just the leggings and I never felt like they bunched up or hindered movement I don't tend to sweat a ton, but no one complained about any kind of stink. The wool does its job. I typically wear a medium in pants (or a 32 x 32) because while I am tall-ish, I am kinda skinny. In this case I got the large bodyfit and felt it was the right choice. I fear a medium might have been a bit too tight and short in the legs. Your mileage may vary, of course, depending on what you find comfortable, but I think this base layer runs a little small. I haven't had this piece long enough to comment on its durability, but because I've worn it so much I have washed it a few times already with no problems relating to color fade, shrinking, or frayed seams. Overall I really dig the Icebreaker Men's 200 Oasis. It's comfortable and does the job. I've asked my wife for more this Christmas to go along with some new tops.

December 5, 2018Wool-up!
I highly suggest anyone active in the outdoors invest in a set of quality wool base-layers and these Icebreakers are a great choice. The quality of the fabric is apparent - soft against the skin but also substantial feeling. I am a bit lanky and haven't had any issue with the fit. I've noticed other brands have a thick waistband, I like the more minimal one here. I ordered a… read more small based on waist-size but length is good in the legs. For hiking and backpacking and general warmth needs I'd go with this set, but for skiing or very active pursuits then go with the Bodyfit Zone for better breathability.

November 29, 2018Versatile Wool Base Layer
I was given the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Leggings from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. I recently returned from a 10 day trip to Utah traveling through Escalante, Bryce, and Zion backpacking, hiking, and canyoneering. On this trip the Icebreaker Oasis 200 leggings replaced my Patagonia Capilene Midweights. I primarily wore these leggings as a sleeping layer and… read more in the mornings and evenings around camp as it was too warm for a base layer legging during the day. Compared to the Patagonia leggings, the Icebreaker Oasis 200 leggings felt warmer as well as more comfortable. The fit was great. Iâd say Iâm on the smaller size of the medium range being 5â9â 145 pounds, 39 inch chest, and 30 waist and the fit was snug but comfortable around my legs and easily layered under pants. Over the years Iâve used both polyester and merino wool base layers, but this has been my favorite so far. The leggings feel very comfortable on the skin and I never noticed any smell build up over the 10 days I wore them without showering. Iâm really looking forward to wearing them more when ski touring this winter to see how they handle aerobic activity. I would definitely recommend the Oasis leggings or tops to someone who is looking for a new base layer top or bottoms for cooler to cold weather. *Photo of Icebreaker 200 Oasis 1/2 Zip top

November 18, 2018Superb Baselayer
I was given the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging With Fly from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion: I've worn the Icebreaker 150 Zone Long-Sleeve Crew Shirt with the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging With Fly while biking 9 miles to and from work on a weekly basis in Chicago with temps ranging from 20-40 degrees F. I've mostly worn them alone under a Showers Pass Skyline… read more Rain Pant (which I really recommend, although these are NOT waterproof) in large. The merino wool has always kept me comfortable even on the cold days. Additionally, it regulates heat so well that when I really get going I have never felt over-heated. Probably the best part about the merino wool is that I don't feel drenched in sweat by the time I get to work, and there is NO BAD SMELL when I store it in my locker (which my coworkers/locker buddies appreciate). I've never has issues with chafing on my ride. This product also dries quickly, and is always ready for me to put back on at the end of the work day. The gusseted inseam allows me to freely change positions form upright to more aggressive. As for the fit and durability of the product, I am 6'1' 160lbs and size medium fits me well. The length is just a tad short (just above my ankle), but this has never been an issue when I throw a pair of wool socks on over them. I have washed the Icebreaker 150 Zone Long-Sleeve Crew Shirt and the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging With Fly about 15 times so far, and there is barely evidence that they have been worn. While I've never owned a quality set of baselayers like the Icebreaker 150 Zone Long-Sleeve Crew Shirt with the Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging With Fly , I have owned plenty of baselayers and I can say that I truly believe these are worth the price. Now that I've owned these, I can't imagine buying a different or cheaper brand.

November 17, 2018Five Star Base Layer
I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I want the reader to be aware, as part of the testing program Backcountry wants honest reviews, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With that being said, I've worn multiple brands of base layers over the years and the Icebreaker Men's BodyFit 200 Oasis is now my go to. I'll start with sizing. I… read more am 5'11", 165 lbs., waist 32", chest 40". I tested a size medium top and medium bottom. The fit for my build was spot on to the sizing chart. The fit of the bottom is sung but not compression like. The fit of the top around the waist and chest are not compression tight to the body like Under Armour but it is a tailored, athletic fit. Transitioning to performance. This product hits all cylinders. I've had the Icebreaker Oasis 200 for about a month now and have worn it about ten times. I used it running, mountain biking, hiking, and working outside, still lacking the snow coverage to test it while skiing. I'll start with the good. You know you are going to sweat during aerobic activities. The Oasis transfers the sweat away from your body well and dries quickly. A huge bonus is that compared to my other synthetic base layers this one shines in the smell department. Usually after a day of use my other base layers ripen. I was amazed that after a run I let it hang dry without washing and it smelled fine the next day, and the next, and the next. To me this a huge bonus for multi-day trips when space and weight are key. The warmth to weight ratio is great. I have wet suits lined with merino wool and the Icebreaker Men's BodyFit 200 Oasis reinforces why. As I previously stated you know you are going to sweat during aerobic activity, this base layer seems to do a better job keeping you warm while it dries. Regarding durability, the jury is still out on this. I have only had the Oasis 200 for about a month; however, so far there are no issues. The quality looks good. I have a front-loading washing machine and I hang dry so I have not tested it against an agitator or heat. I have attached a photo so you can see the quality of the fabric and seams. The ugly: it's not inexpensive; however, based on its performance it's worth the cost.

November 14, 2018Woolie legs
I was given these by Backcountry for the purpose of testing but the opinions of this review are my own based on my experience I was stoked to get these as the Zone Leggings have been a goto favorite for years now. The fit is nice and trim with a great next to skin feel without the noticeable "itchy" feel of some wool fabrics. When paired under windproof layer they do a great job… read more of keeping my legs warm yet still breath when I unzip vents. The thermal regulation of these is amazing! Pros: Responsibly sourced merino wool. Very comfortable next to skin. Athletic fit. Easy to forget you're wearing it. Cons:The Oasis 200 fabric is a bit thick for year round use. Bit tight around the ankle which makes them difficult to pull over my calf for wearing ski socks. For sizing I'm 34x34 and usually get mediums, the length still goes to my ankles. I'd highly suggest these for folks that do athletic activities in colder weather and cool weather camping.

November 10, 2018Great Wool Baselayer Bottom
I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. The Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging are great. They're mainly going to be used for skiing, but I have some first impressions from using them on camping trips and some cold weather soccer games. I normally use Patagonia Calipene… read more Mid Weight base layer but I find that they get funky very quickly, and never really smell right again since they're synthetic. Since the Icebreaker's are wool, funk is not an issue any longer. They're about the same weight and warmth wise as Patagonia's Calipene Mid Weight base layer. The wool isn't scratchy at all - was able to wear for a full day with no issues. Fit wise, for bottoms, I normally wear a medium in North Face and Patagonia, but in this trimmer fit, the Large is the comparable size. I'll update this review as soon as I've had it on the slopes.

November 3, 2018Very satisfied
i was given this ICEBREAKER product from Backcountry, but review is my personal opinion. I fell in love with this ICEBREAKER product as soon as i tried it for the first time. It was right to size, compressed in the right places and was loose in the right places. The fabric is very pleasant to skin, nothing itchy or scratchy and it really gives you a really good and worm feeling.… read more I have used this product for cycling, hiking and fishing in 30-40 degrees weather, worked perfectly for me. For heavy workout it didn't feel sweaty and for just standing in the river when fishing it felt just warm enough. The cleaning and laundry was pretty straight forward, no limitations. Came out the same size without any shrinkage problems like you sometimes see for low quality products. I can definitely say that you will be satisfied when buying this ICEBREAKER product as you will find it useful for plenty of any outdoor activities to keep you warm and dry. I think in terms of pricing this product also gives you a high level of cost effectiveness being not too expensive. This is not the first product from ICEBREAKER that i have used and i have always been satisfied with this company high quality products. Go ahead and try this one, you will love it.

November 2, 2018Top Notch Base Layer
I was provided this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. The Icebreaker Oasis 200 leggings are a great overall base layer due to its comfortability during longer day hikes. I have taken this to the Adirondacks in NY during the latest winter storm in October, 2018. In the Adirondacks there was a foot of snow at the top of the mountain. I paired this… read more with my a pair of Kuhl hiking pants and I never was too warm or had to strip off layers. The comfort and warmth, yet breathability, of this base layer was a great change of pace! I was able to keep the Icebreaker Oasis 200 Leggings on throughout my whole assent and descent of Mount Algonquin. The fit is true to size. I ordered a medium and I am 140 pounds, 5 foot 10 inches, and it was neither too big or too small. The durability of this product is great! I plan on using this all winter for backcountry downhill and cross-country skiing. I ordered black and the color is true to what is advertised. In the picture shown I have underneath the Icebreak Oasis 200 quarter zip and leggings and they are just so warm and comfy! The Icebreak Oasis 200 Leggings are a premium base layer and I would highly recommend!

October 26, 2018Fire Base Layer
The Icebreaker 200 Oasis Legging's have become my go-to base layer, which says a lot because I have a lot of different base layers. I use them primarily for snowboarding but they are also perfect for fall camping. They are surprisingly warm and super breathable. If you're in the market for a new pair, pull the trigger on these bad boys. You won't regret it.

February 19, 2018Cold Weather High Output Comfort
The BodyFit 200 Oasis leggings from Icebreaker are my go to for backcountry touring. The 200 weight will keep you warm and dry while doing high output activities in most winter conditions. They breathe great and are really comfortable. Medium was a little snug compares to my other medium layers.

February 19, 2017Definite sizing problem
Nicely constructed leggings but way too small for me -- both on the hips and rise. I had a size M. Exchanged for the 200 "Everyday" version (M) and a perfect true-to-size fit.

February 16, 2017Pleasant Surprise
Icebreaker isn't a brand I had used before getting this baselayer as a Christmas present, Icebreaker is now a brand on my radar. These leggings are comfortable and breathable all while keeping me warm in moderately cold temperatures. Not once have I been too hot or too cold on the mountain while wearing these. I haven't worn them in anything below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, give… read more or take a few degrees. If I could pick a highlight of this product it would be comfort. I'm a sucker for being comfortable on the mountain, and these stand out in that regard. They do fit a little more snug than other baselayers in size Large that I own. The fly comes in handy when you need to dip out at the mid mountain lodge (also known as the trees by the Collins angle station) to use the restroom.
