Hyperlite Mountain Gear Daybreak 17L Backpack reviews and deals for sale
Summit towering peaks, traverse dicey ridges, and squeeze in afternoon treks with Hyperlite Mountain Gear's fully-featured, ultralight Daybreak Backpack. Weighing barely over a pound, the Daybreak boasts a surprising 17L capacity suitable for a day's worth of food, water, layers, and even climbing gear. Hyperlite acheived such a phenomenal light weight by building the pack out of Dyneema, a material used in climbing gear for long-lasting durability.
Despite its light weight, the Daybreak is incredibly comfort, with padding at the back panel and shoulder straps, as well as a waist belt that stows away when you don't need it. The front pocket doubles as a hydration sleeve for your reservoir, and the internal sleeve doubles as a laptop sleeve for casual days. There's also a removable attachment system for ice axes or trekking poles, and a zippered internal pocket for valuables and electronics.

August 16, 2018Excellent Piece of Equipment
Took on a one week camping trip as soon as I got it. We day hiked every day with it. Super light and completely water proof. Layout is great and ability to store away hip belt is good too. Only concern point so far is minor abrasion on the bottom from setting down on rocks showed up immediately. Time will tell on the durability. If you’re looking for a top of the line waterproof… read more and light weight pack this is IT!

July 16, 2018Awesome pack
Great combination of lightweight and comfortable with just the right amount of internal organization. Took this out on a hike along the Billy Goat Trail in Great Falls, MD with the kids. Pack comfortably carried hike essentials (1st aid kit, compass, GPS, etc) along w/rain jackets, and lots of water. 3 liter bladder fit fine in the interior pocket w hose extending thru main zipper.… read more Used a framesheet from another pack to give more rigidity which helped shift weight to hips w/belt. Only downside: While Dyneema is great for most of the pack construction, it does make the back panel pretty hot (and sweaty). Not a huge deal, but probably won't be my serious hot weather pack.

September 11, 2017Perfect for day hikes
I just took this on a 13-mile hike up Mt. Timpanogos and back, and found it to be the perfect tool for the job. The outside front pocket accommodates a 2L water bladder with ease, and the two side pockets hold another water bottle and/or whatever other small things you might need quick access to. There is one small inside zipped pocket for ID/cash, etc., another larger internal… read more pocket, and otherwise there's just one large area which easily held two jackets (one puffy, one light), a first aid kit, a hat, and sunscreen. The pack itself is quite light and the chest and hip straps work great to keep it stable and in place.

July 1, 2017Great daypack
A well thought out designed backpack. It is not the cheapest backpack out there for a reason. It is just a great, very well made pack and I would buy again.
