Great for everything

The Heli are amazing gloves for almost everything. I love how they provide the dexterity that gloves do and also provide the warmth that you receive from mittens. I have also used them many times while touring on cold mornings and they were perfect.

Finger on da Trigger

Stay warm and dry with this mitten from Hestra. It tooka little getting used to the trigger finger but it's great for snowboarder as it provides an easy way to get in and our of your bindings.

Can’t go wrong

I bought these to be my everyday ski glove to supplement my much bulkier Hestra heli’s. Turns out, I find these to be warmer and more desirable than my others in every way. Nothing bad to say about the Heli 3finger, but this is my glove going forward.

Best of Both Worlds

I have had a pair of arc´teryx mittens that kept my hands really warm, but did not have the functionality of the of a glove with the separated fingers. The downside of the glove is the warmth is lost from what you get with the mitten. This is why I bought a pair of Hestra fall line 3 finger gloves. They are a combination of the warmth you get with mittens and the functionality read more you get with gloves. I have never been cold wearing these gloves while skiing, and it has gotten to below zero. My hands have also never been wet, so I would say these gloves are pretty water resistant, if they aren’t listed as waterproof. It has been so nice to be able to adjust my helmet, goggles, jacket, and other gear without sacrificing my warm hands. I would say the price is just about right for what you get, but might be a little expensive. For me though, they fitted my needs and were definitely worth their price. Of course, they won´t be as warm as the nicer mittens, and maybe not as much movement as you get out of the glove, but you get the best of both with this pair of gloves.

Sickest gloves

I absolutely love these gloves. Ive never used a trigger finger mitten until I got these and I am so glad I did. They stay super warm and keep my hands dry without fail. Ive used them in 5 degree weather and 35 degree weather. A super solid option for a good mitten. ***Make sure you keep your gloves treated with a leather waterproofing treatment to improve waterproofing***

Not Waterproof at All

I recently purchased these gloves and out of the box they feel comfortable. Upon first and second use skiing in normal snow conditions they were drenched and soaking up water. They were not waterproof at all and the palms are waterstained now. I put in an email to Hestra customer service and they proceeded to tell me how sometimes snow is wet and recommended other brands of leather read more waterproofing balms. I would be fine with this if it was obvious and blatant that these SKI gloves were not waterproof upfront. Then I would have treated them beforehand. Gloves seemed fairly warm, got cold at times in 10-15 degree weather, but that could have been because they were filling up with snow and water.....

What can I say....WOW!

These gloves are so awesome, I cannot complain about anything at all. The full leather exterior has always something I have been partial too and the leather is super soft and supple. I love the 3 finger area is separated like sliding your hand into a baseball glove. I love mittens but do not like my fingers touching, makes me sweat to much. These take all of that out of the equation.Having read more a trigger finger is great for dexterity. I was a little bummed they did not come with the Hestra wrist/hand cuff but thankfully we stock them at Backcountry so I just bought them after the fact. I like being able to hang my gloves from my wrists while on the chairlift. I love these gloves. Hestra is my brand for sure! **Make sure to treat your gloves regularly to keep the leather soft and improve water resistance.

Supple!

These things rock! Super soft supple leather is really nice to the touch and the inside is equally soft and cozy, Like your favorite pair of sweatpants for your hands. Great dexterity with the free pointer finger makes it easy to zip up jackets or get into pockets without having to remove the glove. They are warm for me down to about 10 degrees and then I have to add a liner to read more stay toasty. They have individually divided fingers inside the 3 finger area as well which I think contributes to them not being quite as warm as a traditional mitt. Cuff snugs down nicely and fits great under jacket cuffs.

Not as warm as I hoped

These gloves are very good and definitely high quality you can expect from Hestra. However, they are not as warm as I was hoping. They are perfect with the additional glove liner but my fingers get very cold without it.

Good but cold index finger

The look and feel are amazing, however the design makes the index finger always much colder.

Lobsta Paw

Great mitt that I prefer on bluebird days. I haven't had the best luck wearing these on cold storm days. The neoprene cuff fits perfect under my jacket and is low profile. I find the lobster style to be a great niche of dexterity between mitt and 5 finger.

Comfortable but not versatile

Update two seasons in: my gloves have packed in and are significantly colder. My hands were cold yesterday skiing at 28 degs. After a season and a half I’m looking for new gloves. These gloves are probably my most regrettable ski purchase. Original Review: I bought these gloves after randomly trying them on while waiting in line at a shop and reading glowing reviews online. read more They're super soft inside and offer incredible dexterity. However, after using them for a season, I realized you're trading protection for that comfort and dexterity - which isn't really a fair trade when talking about ski gloves . They aren't too warm and aren't that waterproof. Anything under 10 deg and I'm wearing another pair. I've treated him with Hestra's balm and snoseal, and they'll still wet out if it's dumping or misty. You can't remove the liner or put them in the dryer (leather), so they'll stay wet for the next day. They're awesome gloves if the conditions are relatively nice, but that isn't always the case when skiing. Making these very expensive niche gloves. I found find myself wearing my old pair of gloves that cost 1/3 the price more often as they were much warmer and waterproof.

Keeps you cozy and warm

I gave these to my girlfriend for Christmas and I wish I got myself a pair too. We went skiing in Vermont in -10 degrees F and she never complained about her fingers being cold. I was jealous. She loves having the extra dexterity with her index fingers free but that her remaining fingers are in a mitten. She was very pleased with her Christmas present and I think I've set the read more bar too high for Christmas' to come.

Awesome resort glove!

I love Hestra, and love these gloves. In my opinion they are one of the best in this category. My only points to take note are 1) this is a fairweather glove. When it starts getting below 15 degrees I don't think it is warm enough. Also it is leather, so if you want it to be waterproof I would advise adding additional treatment to the leather.

Warm and dexterous

I bought these because my hands get cold easy but I want to be able to mess with my ski boot buckles when needed. They are much warmer than the full glove equivalent. The leather is super supple and makes adjusting buckles easy. I still get cold when the temps get to around 10 but above that they are great. They need a few applications of waterproofing before they will stay totally read more dry. I printed out the Hestra size chart. My middle finger hits between 10 and 11. I thought that the 10 would be good after break in but it was too small. The 11 fits perfect.

Warm Fingers

I have been a glove guy my whole life, however, my fingers aren't staying warm like they used to! I didn't want to go full mitten because of the lack of dexterity. Enter the 3 finger! My hands are warm and I'm still able to fuss with the buckles on my boots. The leather is super supple and the liner is warm for 10-40 degree days.

Do or do not, there is no try.

I call these my yoda gloves. they are awesome! they have a small divided piece of fleece that goes in between your ring finger and pinky that is super comfortable as well. The first thing I did when I got them was put nikwax leather proofing on them. *it will make them a shade darker beware* but I thought it just made them look even better. They dont ever get wet and I have used read more them cat skiing and in deep powder. gives you a little bit more mobility than your typical mitten which is great. I picked them up in the gray color and they are so good looking. These do not come with wrist straps unfortunately but I have a pair I just swap between all of my gloves and these have the small triangle piece inside the wrist of the glove to attach it to. I will probably get these in more colors because they are sweet and I love them!

Hestra and 3 finger gloves = love

This is my first pair of Hestras, but I've used plenty of other gloves from other companies. I've always heard about Hestra, but had never given them a shot. The quality is immediately apparent. The inner liner is the softest and most comfortable of any glove I've worn. The leather strikes a great balance between durability and suppleness needed for dexterity. I've used these read more from mid-teens through mid twenties with plenty of additional wind chill and never once thought about my fingers. This is also my first time with a 3 finger glove. Mittens and there loss of dexterity don't do it for me when skiing. Having just your index finger free in a 3 finger glove adds far more dexterity than I thought possible. Additionally, the portion of the glove with your middle to pinky finger has dividers so each finger has its own a slot. This didn't seem to affect warmth at all, but significantly increase the feeling and control these fingers have when gripping your poles.

Hi, I'm not really sure of my size. If it's smaller or large, is it possible to exchange to the good size? If yes how mush time that would take? Thank Marvin
