Best Gloves I Have Ever Used

My first time using Hestra gloves and I was not disappointed at all. I am not the best snowboarder by any means and these gloves actually stayed warm with as many falls as I take (sometimes a lot). They even help up while trying to teach my friend how to snowboard, I'm no instructor so I use my hands a lot trying to help her an. My fingers did start to get a bit cold but only after read more a couple of hours of having my hands actually in the snow, which is not unusual

Quality Warmth

Found these gloves to be extremely warm and comfortable to wear. The leather construction also makes these very durable. If the leather is properly taken care of, you should be able to get a few seasons out of these pups.

Very functional but left my fingers cold

I have very cold fingers naturally and was hoping these would keep them warm. Unfortunately they didn't at sub 20 temps and while skiing in the shade. I was very uncomfortable in the snow when wearing these :( For warmer days though when you dont need as much insulation these would be ideal!

Legit!!!

You know what you are in for when you put on a Hestra Glove. Very functional, very warm, easy to manage, great all around experience. It is so nice when heading out for the day, weekend, trip, and not have to worry about your hands and gloves being warm enough. Put them on forget and forget about it. The leather is good for wiping my goggles of snow, and moisture! Awesome

Great belay gloves

Used these as belay gloves for ice climbing a few times. Worked great. Kept me warm and dry, while allowing a level of dexterity sufficient for rope management.

Hands down my favorite gloves

These might not be the warmest Hestras on the site but for a full day of catching my edge and shoving my hands in the snow, my little phalanges never got cold. There's not a lot of wiggle room between the liner and glove. They fit me true to size. Next snow season I'm definitely buying a pair.

The best around

This is my 3rd pair of Hestra gloves, and once again they deliver. These are incredibly comfortable, soft and they breathe well. I wouldn't use them on the coldest days (I prefer my Seth Morrison 3 finger gloves for that) but these are my new go-to gloves in temps north of 20 degrees.

Very Nice!

They did the two things you need a pair of gloves to do when you are out on the mountain, riding in the deep stuff. Drumroll please....they kept my hands warm and dry...... I loved the short cuff (if you have a jacket that has a hand gaiter, these are an ideal fit).

Super Functional, Stylish Gloves

After five years on my last pair of Hestra gloves (and I probably could have stretched it out to six), I grabbed a new pair of Army Patrol gloves and man, have they delivered. Just another pair of high quality, stylish gloves that keep your hands warm and dry in every kind of conditions - from warm, wet wintery-mix days to cold, dry pow days.

Versatile and Packed with Features

I had a snowboard day planned the day after these gloves arrived and temperatures forcasted in the single digits, I was planning for a mitt day. Taking them out of the box and trying them on, I thought I'd take a chance. Sitting on the lift, the temp was actually 12*F but my hands thought it was a sunny day in the south. I rocked these gloves all day and have since had 3 more read more powder days to feel them out. Plenty warm with the liner which attaches via velcro on the inside cuff. The liner stays in place putting the gloves on and off, even with sweaty hands. I have not used the gloves without the liner but have removed them which leaves a basic leather glove good for protecting your hands on warm days, I can't imagine using them without the liner for playing in the snow. They have been completely water/snowproof for me despite what other reviewers mentioned. I love wrist cuffs on gloves for freeing up hands on the mountain and with the addition of a large eyelet, you can transport with a belt loop carabiner when not in use. The cuff is short so if you're considering these for ski/snowboarding, make sure your jacket has a nice sealing system around the wrist. These were able to work their way outside my jacket cuff which caused a bit of a snowpack on the unused portion of velcro on the wrist closure. Not a problem if you never mess with your gloves, but you may need to let them thaw to adjust them if you don't keep wrists tucked in your jacket. Admittedly, my jacket is not awesome so not really a knock on the gloves. My palm measures 8.25" and I went with the size 9 which fit perfect. I'd recommend these for cold above the 0 mark. Comfortable, durable, flexible enough you have all your fingers at your disposal, and the Hestra name tells you it's among the best.

Great Gloves

Another winner from Hestra. Over the years they continue to put out great gloves, model after model. Great dexterity, good feel, warmth, style...love them!

Nice Gloves with Good Dexterity

I've been relatively happy after 10+ ski days this season. The gloves have great dexterity with the less than 100% leather surround. I have found my fingers getting cold pretty quickly on lifts though. They are definitely not as warm as I had hoped - I've skied days in the 20s and single digits. I've tried some Outdoor Research glove liners to combat the cold, but I've found them read more to be too tight of a fit for the gloves. My only other gripe, which is fairly minor, is that the white leather picks up stains/colors pretty easy. It's provided some quick character to my gloves, but i'm dreading the day it starts to look like the dreaded brown snow.

It's Hestra!

Hestra just makes great gloves and mitts, it's what they do. While these were a gift, I have no doubt they'll be as good as every other Hestra glove I own. Fit is nice, and Hestra sizing is pretty consistent. While these were purchased as a ski glove, they will likely get a lot more use because of their clean and stylish look.

my new go to!

I was extremely excited to hear hestra made a ski glove without a powdercuff and removable liner as i use hand gaiters. These gloves were the solution as the liner makes them warmer than the fall lines and no powdercuff. Hestra didn't skip out on the tech with this glove even though its cheaper than the heli. I was surprised how durable and soft the polyester melange stretch read more fabric is on the top of the hand. They use the Army goat leather which is extremely durable if you properly maintain them.
