I haven’t worn these yet but they look bombproof. Very thick and warm with 2 cinches at and below the wrist to keep cold and precip out that are easy to operate. The gloves have a looped leash inside that goes around your wrist and makes it easy to take off the gloves and not worry about dropping them. I bought XXL since they run small and I normally wear XL. Aside from the… read more bulk of the XXL size, they fit well. They are not terribly flexible so certain functions like gripping a trekking pole could be problematic. On initial impression if I was a climber to very cold elevations, these gloves would be my pick. Recommend particularly if you can buy them for $40.

Great all-around winter glove, fabric and design didn't disappoint. Save yourself an unsolicited exchange, however, and nail the right size from the onset: SIZE UP. According to the size chart provided at the time of this writing, the gloves would be considered to run small (by most folks, myself included).
