Five Ten Hiangle Climbing Shoe - Women's reviews and deals for sale
Powerfully pink, the Five Ten Women's Hiangle Climbing Shoe is aggressively downturned to optimize your performance on overhung boulders and demanding routes. Despite its aggression, the Hiangle is a slightly comfier option than most downturned shoes. Its leather upper is unlined to allow customized stretching, and a single-strand hook-and-loop strap gives that quick-and-secure on-and-off that boulderers look for. This climbing shoe features Five Ten's original Stealth C4 rubber covering a moderately stiff platform that allows a technical performance on vertical, crimpy routes as well as overhangs.

Five Ten Hiangle Climbing Shoe - Women's Reviews

March 11, 2019Very Impressed
Initial Impressions - got these as my last pair of five ten black wings had a hole in the toe. These shoes have great grip and I love the five ten rubber. They have been great in the gym and I am eager to try them out outdoors once the snow clears up.

These are excellent bouldering and sport climbing shoes.

They seem to preform really well but fall apart quickly. I've heard from several sources that the sole de-laminates with pretty light use.

July 4, 2017Fits All Genders
Though the title says "Women's Climbing Shoe" it really depends on your foot type. The women's Hiangles fit way better than the men's for my feet even though my feet are fairly wide. I've had the Hiangles for about 3 months now and I throw them on whenever I have a hard overhung or dead vert face sport/boulder. They're fairly good for slab since the rubber is much thicker than most… read more down turn shoes, but get really uncomfortable really fast when stepping on micro crystals. Because of that, they're definitely one of my favorite shoes for bouldering/sport but I wouldn't recommend these as a slab shoe.

January 12, 2017Fit is off for me
I wanted to love these shoes! I can't attest at all to their function, only to their fit. I first ordered a half-size larger than my normal/street size (based on other reviews), and I couldn't even get them on! I then exchanged them for a size and a half larger than my street size, and they still felt painful in the toes and had a lot of space in the heels. Oh well! They seem like… read more good shoes.

February 27, 2016Best bouldering shoes
These are hands down the best shoes for bouldering. They grip great and feel awesome. I'm a male but buy women's shoes because of my narrow feet. I recommend these to everyone.

November 11, 2015FITS LIKE A GLOVE!
This is a great shoe for those who need to transition to a more advanced shoe, and want to save $20. The shoe has the same great toe and forefoot features of the blackwings. The heal fits snugger but I found that for more advanced heal hooking on harder problems/routes the hooking capability was lacking compared to the blackwings. IF A HEAL HOOK IS YOUR GO TO MANEUVER SPEND THE… read more EXTRA $20 AND GET THE BLACKWINGS. If you are new to heel hooking, the Hiangle will help to teach you about how much pressure etc you need to use to hold the hook. The blackwings seem to hook for you. If you rarely heel hook and its not a key way you climb (yet), then the Hiangle is a most excellent shoe for you. My opinion about the elastic is that it makes for a more customize-like fit, but over time the elastic can rot and therefore the life of this shoe even with resole is limited. I love that the hiangle shoe is all leather and I like the colors much better than the synthetic blackwing, but since my signature technique is a variety of creative heel hooks, I needed to go for the shoe that works the best for that.

November 3, 2015Awesome shoe
Although these are "Women's" climbing shoes I found they fit a little better on my foot than the men's version. Do not size down because they are a stiffer shoe, great for standing up on those tiny crystals however not so great for a good smear. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

January 28, 2015Maybe don't size down.
My street shoe is 8.5. My climbing shoe size in La Sportiva is 38.5. I tried both the size 8 and size 9 in this shoe. The size 8, I couldn't even get on. The nine fit, but was incredibly tight, and with there being so much rubber around the foot bed, I'm not sure if it would stretch enough to be the right size. In the end, this was too aggressive of a shoe for my current needs,… read more so I went with something less down turned. But, I wanted to give my sizing experience. I hope this helps.
