Five Ten Anasazi LV Pro Climbing Shoe - Women's reviews and deals for sale

Professional climber Shauna Coxsey wore Five Ten Women's Anasazi Pro Climbing Shoe prototypes when she won the IFSC Bouldering World Cup in 2017. Not only did she send in them, but she also worked with Five Ten designers to make a show worthy of her powerful prowess. Compared to the original Anasazi, the Anasazi Pro boasts a little more heel tension to provide better aggression and precision. The toe patch is also a new update to the Anasazi family, and it's made of Five Ten's stickiest Stealth Mi6 rubber for reliable friction. The bottom rubber is Five Ten's ever-trustful Stealth C4 rubber that Coxsey admittedly used when she first started climbing at the age of four.

Great fit and sticky.

My old shoes hurt my feet, so I decide to look for a new pair. I ordered many climbing shoes, and just about all of them I tried on hurt my heel. I have a normal foot, medium width, size 36 street shoes. My heels are not big or wide in relation to the rest of my foot. After expressing my frustrations to my gearhead Emily Jenson, she recommend this shoe for me. I ended read more up getting it in a size 37.5. They fit snug but no hot spots and heel pain. I went to the climbing gym and used them on belayed climbing routes. They were very sticky and performed to my total satisfaction. I can finally concentrate on climbing and not agony of the feet.

Sticky, comfy

I'll cut to the chase and talk about sizing, since that is the trickiest thing with climbing shoes. I got the size 9.0. I'm a hiking shoes size 9.0. Sometimes I'm a size 8.5, but usually a size 9.0 in hiking and running shoes. I have been climbing in them for about a month. I have only been on plastic, so far. But, I've had Anasazi's before and their rubber is sticky, so I don't read more worry about their rock performance. The fit is good. They are pretty comfortable out of the box, which is a plus but made me nervous about their performance. So far, I've been sure footed every time, so I'm very impressed! They aren't stretching, so I suggest fitting sizing them out of the box, and not with the intent to stretch. I did size up on my Rogues for multi-pitches but I wouldn't do that with these, as I want to use these for harder sport climbs and bouldering. Five Ten heels don't fit my narrow heel that well, but it's not a show stopper. I do feel like they perform better than the regular Anasazi's, when it comes to edging. Nothing on this wall has really small feet, but they do edge well and stick to slopey feet holds. They aren't soft, but the have a responsive platform, which I use a lot. So, I'm happy I moved up to the pro.

UPDATED REVIEW -- SIZE UP!

I'm just writing a review here because there aren't any yet and I find reviews to be super helpful for me. Backcountry didn't have my size in this shoe so I took a chance and ordered the half size down that was available. Nope! FiveTen seems to run consistently small in their climbing shoes, so I ended up going elsewhere and ordering a full size up from my street shoe size like read more I did with my lace-up Rogues (which fit perfectly until they stretched after a year of use). I haven't received them yet, but I will update my review when I get them and try them out. All of that being said, I can't say enough about the great customer service I receive with EVERY. SINGLE. ORDER. I love it, I feel like a high roller with my personal attendee. Excellent! 10/10! UPDATE!! I have been climbing with these shoes for a month or so now and I LOVE them. They broke in easily after a couple of days of climbing, and they are comfy AF. Definitely size up. I bought a full size up from my street shoe and they fit perfectly. I wear them even while belaying, only un-strapping the velcro after an hour or so. They're sticky and the rubber on the toe is helpful in those toe-hook situations. They were super stiff at first and I felt like my toes had gone blind; my Rogues had been so nicely broken-in and sensitive, and suddenly I felt like I couldn't trust my feet. But that went away after a day or two.
