Edelrid Nineteen G Carabiner reviews and deals for sale

Gram-counting climbers and alpinists are salivating over the Nineteen G Carabiner because it's Edelrid's lightest wiregate biner available, and perhaps the lightest carabiner ever. Don't sketch over its strength, for its 22kN strength rating proves that the Nineteen G can take the impact like the rest of them.

Super light!

I carry a few on my harness for multipitch routes just for accessory biners. Clip your shoes, your gloves, your water bottle, your backpack... Super light, no bulk.

My primary non locker

I've switched almost entirely to the nineteen g. With a little bit of practice they became just as easy to use as any other wire gate. The size has never been an issue for me. My only complaint is the hook catching when removing the carabiner which is the same for every other traditional wire gate, and the weight savings makes it well worth it.

Actually very usable and light as heck!

Was hesitant from seeing how small they were but once I got my hands on them and tried a few out, was pleasantly surprised. I use them for the bolt/gear end of my alpine draws. I've taken them on 3 multipitch routes so far and neither I nor my partners have complained or had issues at all w/ size. They'd be a bit small for rope end so I use DMM alpha lights for that which are read more larger, but light. 19g's are also good for other stuff like belay gloves, chalk bag etc or for a few random just in case extras w/o the weight penalty.

Ya, 19 grams, no kidding.

These things are light!!! I've used a couple to build alpine draws and they are awesome and keeping it light and low profile. I've also taken a fall on one of these said draws and I'm excited to say it held like any other solid biner.
