Forget about weight. The one or two ounces this harness adds is far out weighed by the comfort. The waist and leg loops are really wide and stiff, yet crazy thin. The stiffness caught me off guard at first, but now I hate climbing w/o it. It's a far different feel than other similar priced harness.
