Echo Ion Fly Reel reviews and deals for sale
Thanks to its hybrid design, the Echo Ion Fly Reel provides some of the benefits of a fully machined reel without the resulting price tag. Ideal for beginner anglers, this reel delivers all the performance you'd expect of a high-end reel. A large arbor makes for quick line pickup, while its backlash-free clutch bearing protects your tippet when playing large fish. Echo's maintenance-free Rulon disc drag system features stainless steel components and is primarily designed for freshwater use. The reel's lightweight, hybrid design not only keeps the price down, but it also balances well with modern, lightweight rods for a comfortable, balanced casting experience.

4/5 This is my first reel and seems to be easy to get the hang of. Stoked to enter the fly fishing game.

First fish on the new switch set up. The drag on the Ion handled this little guy and the 70ft of line when he hit the streamer no problem.

April 13, 2015Switch Reel
Picked this up as my first switch reel. For the price it is an amazing reel. smooth action and seems relatively durable. I am going to pick up a few more. the inexpensive price of the spool means I can take one or two of those with me and switch from a scandi line to a skagit or nymph line very easily.
