Dynafit Trailbreaker Evo Trail Running Shoe - Women's reviews and deals for sale

When you're running in the mountains the trail has a penchant for disappearing, giving way to scree fields and rocky outcroppings, or just hiding through thick trees and brush. If you're looking for a shoe that can adapt to changing terrain as fast as you can, then lace up the Dynafit Trailbreaker Evo Trail Running Shoe and head for the hills. This dynamic all-around trail runner strikes an ideal balance between a weight-saving design and rugged outdoor performance. Intelligent traction zones in the outsole provide targeted grip on both muddy riverside trails and rocky summit slopes, while Gliding Path technology helps accommodate a natural roll and stride for your foot. Minimal midsole cushioning delivers a close-to-the-ground feel that'll help you stay in control on rugged trails, and the Air Mesh upper ensures breathable performance when you're running on exposed ridgelines in the summer sun.

Awesome durable trail runners!

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion of the Dynafit Trailbreaker Evo trail running shoe. I found the sizing to run on the small side, I typically wear a size 7, but size 8 in the Dynafit fit perfectly for me. This was my first time with a Dynafit shoe and my first time with a "sock-like fit" for a trail running shoe and liked how easy read more they were to slip on and the breathability it provided, but felt like my ankle was more exposed and moved around a little too much for my liking. I have taken these shoes on trails that were hard dirt, loose rock and involved some rock scrambling and have no complaints! They were able to handle anything I threw at them and left me feeling more confident in my foot placement on the rocks. These trailbreakers have a meaty grip for a sole and never left me slipping or sliding on the way up or down the trails. I've put on close to 30+ miles in the past couple of weeks with these shoes and the soles still look brand new, so I would have to say I am impressed with the durability! Due to the moderate cushioning these shoes have they look like they would be heavy shoes, but they are not! I actually weighed them out to compare against my other lightweight trail runners and they were the same as one pair and just a smidge heavier than the other. Overall, I am impressed with the Dynafit Trailbreaker Evo trail running shoe and will definitely be sticking with these shoes for a while!

Great all around trail runner!

I am a longtime distance runner (mostly on pavement) and getting increasingly into trail running. This is my first Dynafit shoe and I'm hooked! I have never worn a "sock style" shoe before and while it took some getting used to, I like how it fits, particularly for ankle support on steeper trails. I found it took some adjustment to get the heel cup to fit perfectly to my foot (I read more lace these tighter than I would lace my normal road running shoes) but didn't find any discomfort on the top of my foot from that. This is a moderately cushioned shoe, which I like for its purpose of trail running. This shoe feels good on pavement as well -- however, if you are used to a "minimalist" running shoe this might be less responsive than you're used to. This trail runner can really take a beating. I run up steep, loose, gravely trails in the Los Angeles area, and I felt very sure-footed and nimble in these shoes. This is particularly important on the downhills, and I felt I could run down some familiar trails with a bit more confidence as a result. My local trails often are so steep/loose you have to sidestep down a bit... the outer edges of the sole of the shoe were really grippy and kept from rolling my ankle or falling, which I appreciated (my normal road adidas shoes usually slides right out!) The "sock" closure also helps keep pebbles and rocks out of the shoe, although on really rough stuff you might want to use a trail gaiter too. I'm used to having to retie laces or kick pebbles out of my shoes mid-run, and never had to in the 50+ miles I've logged in these. I have not run these over really rough or sharp gravel yet, but the shoe has so far been very durable and reliable. My only minor complaint is on the colorway - which I love - but it tends to get very dirty/dusty! I guess that's partially on me for where and how I run. Sizewise, I typically wear a 9.5W in street shoes and 10W in athletic shoes. The 10W in this model fits me well (I have a narrow foot). All in all, this is a great shoe and I am happy to hang up my road shoes and retire my old trail shoes for this model!
