Darn Tough Mesh 1/4 Light Sock - Men's reviews and deals for sale

The Darn Tough Merino Wool 1/4 Mesh Running Sock is an ankle-high sock with open-mesh knitting on top that enables your hardworking hooves to breathe. Merino wool pulls moisture away from your skin as you run to keep your foot dry and comfortable. Darn Tough added nylon to these lightweight socks and reinforced the heel and toe to make them tough. Elastic around the arch gives you a snug fit, so your sock won't bunch or wrinkle and give you blisters.

Love these socks

This sock is incredible, it has kept my feet dry and cool during some intense training sessions. The sock regulates temperature and dried exceptionally fast after running through some puddles on a particularly wet day.

Only socks I wear

I bought a few pairs of these socks for a trip, and ended up buying four more so that I only wear these. They're great backpacking, around town, running, biking, and even for winter climbing.

Rocks My Socks

Great for canyoneering! These socks are very thin, just enough to protect your feet and ankles without holding in soaked water. After a full day of canyoneering in south Utah, I rinsed the mud and sand off and they're as good as new! I've had my pair for about a year now and use them regularly. Not quite enough padding for use with hiking boots, but great in running or approach read more shoes. Aside from the ankle cuffs getting a bit fuzzy over time, there are no signs of wear on the socks.

Blisterless

I have run a couple marathons and my first I had pretty bad blisters. My most recent I wore these bad boys through training and the race and the comfort was awesome. Snag a couple pairs and test em out!

A Darn Tough Sock!

This socks are awesome. Well padded, strong/touch (as their name implies) and a comfortable weight. So far they seem to wick moisture well and have help up perfectly through several uses now.

Favorite Active Socks

I've been using these for trail running, mountain biking, and hiking. They stay in place well and have just the right amount of cushioning for all of those activities. I own several other pairs of Darn Tough socks and they all seem to outlast other brands.

Worth every penny

I think socks are really important to whatever activity is happening--running, hiking, biking, just 'being'! These live up to their promises--comfy, warm but not hot, stay warm when wet, can be worn several days in a row w/o stink (I did test this!) and this particular pair fit nicely in my running shoes with the orthotics. Better than the other brands I have tried over the past read more 30 years... I will buy 5 pairs and be done with sock purchasing!

Darn good socks!

I find these socks to be very light, breathable and durable. They are comfortable, and well made but do run a touch on the large size. I wear a size 10 shoe and the size large is just a little big, but not uncomfortably so, or to the point that they are unusable.

Great multipurpose sock

I originally got these socks for this hike I was doing with my young men's group we had to do 50 miles in twenty hours. I bought these socks because they just looked like good socks. I realized that they were great socks when about thirty miles in almost everyone around me had huge blister and I didn't even have a hot spot. I also use these socks when I trail run as well they are read more very breathable for a wool sock which I love. I would recommend these socks to anyone.

Does the Job.

I bought these to hopefully prevent blisters while using my hiking shoes, and they have done just that. I am right on the cusp between medium and large, and decided to go with the medium. That has proven a good choice as well, as even then there is a bit of play in the sock. It has great breathability, the weight and thickness is perfect, and they even match my shoes! My read more only trepidation is that the seams show signs of chafing after only a few uses - we'll see how they hold up!

Great Socks

I have a few pairs of these socks! I wore them while I was hiking the Appalachian Trail. Darn Tough is a good company and the socks have a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend these socks and the company!

Great Socks, Wrong Size

I love these socks, but I totally mixed up the sizing. I wear a 7.5/8 women's shoe and should have ordered a Small instead of a Medium, sadly they don't have any in stock right now.

worth the price will outlast others

bought these as a gift for a trail -runner friend. the price was a bit more than some other brands that i considered for this activity. the reason i was willing to spend more was that my friend complained his other socks were lasting a 1/2 marathon and then there were holes in the heels. these socks have made it through three 1/2 marathons so far and no holes so far! i think this read more makes the price well worth it. the mesh worked well and no heat blisters at all.

Great Socks

These socks work great for both riding and running. I did the Lake Placid Ironman bike and run sections in these socks and they worked great.

Relatively thin sock

I used to love Darn Tough, but lately the merino wool versions have disappointed me. This mesh running sock is fairly light and at least for me, isn't showing some of the same wear problems I have had with the merino wool socks. But, I'm holding back my enthusiasm a bit. On the good side, I have had no problems with bunching and I never get blisters in these. I've primarily read more used them in shorter outings of 10 miles or less.

Excellent

I've used this model exclusively for about 15 moderate distance hikes (400-600 miles) over the past ten years. No blisters, durable, dries fast, and the mesh weave doesn't get damp and clammy in warm weather like thicker socks get. I don't wear them around town because they are too expensive, but for long hikes they are essential.

My feet are walking in heaven!

I finally decided to make the investment to buy 7 pairs of these socks at $16 per pair. The sticker price of these socks is steep but I must say they are the BEST socks ever. They wear incredibly well. I also just finished a half marathon and my feet feel great. No blisters or hot spots. These are socks that will hold up very long especially if you wash them inside out like instructed. read more Simply put... these are the BEST socks money can buy.
