March 3, 2020Great everyday hiking boot
This is a great everyday hiking boot. You can either beat it up on trails or even wear it in a casual work environment and both will get the job done. I work in an office environment where I will wear these boots with 511 tactical khaki pants and they still look great in a professional setting. I’ve owned several boots in the past that have held up well but the thing I love about… read more these the most is they breathe so much better. I need a lightweight boot that can hold up in various environments and I need them to breathe as well. This boot does it all. They are grippy enough to not slip but not super tough soles where they’re uncomfortable. I was a little weary getting these because of the other reviews saying they run too large but I didn’t have a problem. I would suggest just ordering whatever size you typically wear and then you know if you even need to exchange them at all. I wouldn’t suggest sizing down but everyone is different! I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a lightweight breathable boot.

October 26, 2018backup pair because they are so good
I already have these shoes and have beat them up hard, and they show no signs of dying yet. I bought another pair just on the off chance they stop selling this model and i'm left to live life without them forever. Such a life would be tragic! Anyway, runs a bit large and is very comfortable, durable, easy to wear all day without feeling the pain. Trust me, you want these.

March 23, 2018Pretty good so far
I have these in brown (which I don't think Backcountry sells at this time), but if you're here reading this, you probably want to know about the feel, so I'm writing this to describe that part. I wear a size 9 in Nike running shoes, and I have a size 9 boot. I bought a 9 based on Danner's sizing info, and because I have the original leather Mountain 600 in a size 9. Those are my… read more favorite boots I've ever worn, and these are, so far, pretty close behind. I haven't been on any long hikes with these yet, but I think they're really comfortable for the 6 hours I have worn them today. Unlike their leather bothers, these will require some break-in time, as the enduroweave material is surprisingly stiff. It really does feel durable, as the name would imply, but it's going to need to soften up for these to be perfect. I don't love the tongue of the boot (the top has some stiff rubber on it), but it's not a big enough thing to ruin the boot for me. I guess I'll see how these feel after I put some miles on them this weekend. I'm pretty pleased with them so far.

January 30, 2018EnduroWeave
Rather than using their usual leather, these boots employ a special carbon washed textile upper and mesh liner for a more lightweight, breathable fit that makes them ideal for warm weather hiking. It was a lot sturdier than I was expecting and held its shape really well. The Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole were pretty bulky, but had great traction. I typically wear a 10.5, but… read more ended up needing a 10.
