Tubes work

These are tubes that you fill with air...they work great.

light weight

I'm a weight weenie. That's the reason for liking these tubes. And if you stay out of dirt and debris they're not prone to flats. !4 miles daily commute.

"60 mm" is NOT

Just FYI - tried mounting in my 50mm rim and found valve too short for pump to grab - took out and measured valve at 50mm - NOT 60mm. Disappointed in Conti - been using their light regular tubes for years. You'll have to buy 80mm valve length for these Conti tubes.

Bought these for my husband

I bought these for my husband. He’s been using them for years and they always work well for him. They’re lightweight but solid.

Lightweight and Solid

Solid, lightweight and get the job done. Pump your tires up before every ride and these tubes will take care of the rest.

Good tubes

These tubes are great for what they are. No frills or super special anything, but they pretty light and pump your tires up pretty good. I like them because they pack small to put in my jersey pocket or saddle bag. Good tubes. Enjoy

Absolute Junk......Blown Seams 3x

Bought four (4) of these. Have run Conti tubes like these for years. This is obviously a batch of seconds and/or defects. Buy another tube unless you want to flat every time you roll. Seems Comp Cycle has gotten too big and is pushing anything regardless of quality anymore.

Valve Failure

My bike from CC came with these but within 60 days both tubes failed at the valve and rubber intersection.

Not 65g as claimed

I bought two of these tubes and both weigh 80g... this is 25% above the claimed weight.

80mm is a LONG valve stem

Having spent many frustrating hours on the side of the road with valve stems just a tad too short for the rim, I couldn't be happier to have the Continental Race Light with the 80mm stem. No need to worry about extenders, it makes it easy to fix flat no matter what rim you're using.

They’re tubes.

I’ve used mostly Conti and Vittoria tubes for 25 years. I’ve tried many others, but always go back to those two—mostly because they tend to go on sale more often than other brands. In my experience, flatting has less to do with the tube as it does the multitude of other factors: sacrificing light weight for durability, especially in concert with rough roads/with ‘race-rated’ read more tires, has been my main issue; but there’s also hasty or improper mounting; improper tire pressure; rim surfacing on cheaper wheels; slightly larger wheel diameter that necessitates use of levers, etc. But it mostly comes down to chance. Of course, I’m speaking as a roadie, so this may not apply with regard to other uses/terrain. Nevertheless, I suspect that there’s not a whole lot of difference between most brands. One thing about Contis, in particular: the Presta valve cores seem pretty fragile. It’s awfully easy to bend them, particularly if you have a thumb-lock pump head. Having said that, they usually still work even when they’re damaged. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with them.

These might make good balloon animals!

I haven't had a flat tire on my road bike in the past 1000 miles or so, but I thought to myself, I'd better buy a couple of tubes just in case. What do you know! Two days after I got these in from Backcountry I caught a flat 9 miles into a ride. Good thing I bought two of these Continental Race Light Tubes! Right? Nope! I replaced my flat with and brand new Continental tube, that read more immediately went flat! Okay, maybe it was just user error. Maybe I pinched it flat when popping the bead back on the rim. On to tube number two! Pop it in the tire, air it up, and ride 46 mores miles with no problems...until the very next morning when I'm greeted by another flat. That's two Continental Race Light Tubes in 24 hours, and 46 miles. These things are absolute trash! You'd be better off untying balloon animals and stuffing those in your wheels than using these. I am riding in Arizona and the roads do come with a bit a debris from time to time, but two tubes in 24 hours!?!? I won't be buying Conti's again. Ever.

Perfect tube to carry during races

I carry this tube mainly for my long distance triathlon races and while haven't actually had to use it yet, it is a great lightweight option for when things turn for the worse. Replaceable valve also allows for easy addition of extenders.

long lasting tube

I'm not a pro. I followed someone's instructions on youtube and put baby powder on the tube before I install it. These are in my road bike's wheel set and I have rode them for 1800 miles. Durability seems pretty solid. 42mm is too short for 30mm section wheels, better choice is 60mm.

pretty good

I ran these on my fixed gear for a while and was happy with them. I'm pretty hard on tires and recommend thicker tube if you are too. These are very light weight and perfect for racers wanting to shed weight.

So much air

Great tubes. Just your standard. Even if you 28mm wide tires you can still run these tubes. They will stretch just fine. Even though it say 18-25mm. I've been running these on 28mm wide tires for years.

Tubes...

I love these Conti tubes, and have used them for many years. I use them with my carbon clincher wheels and matched with Vittoria tires. They are light and they work, enough said.

Perfect

These are in the wheels and in the spare kit. Light yet solid enough to be my go-to tube, and they fold down tight enough to fit a flat kit into the storage box on a Felt IA.
