Cinelli Gel Cork reviews and deals for sale

Taking a small but significant pedal stroke in favor of modern demands, Cinelli maintains its time-honored aesthetic while adding a thin layer of Vibrasoft gel to boost shock absorption and maintain better control and feel on rougher pavement. Although Cinelli has remained somewhat synonymous with classic, on-road, drop-bar bikes, the inclusion of gel offers the traditional gravel grinder a comfortable chance to experience Cinelli tape tradition.

value & quality, but...

As others have mentioned, great value, quality, adequate length & relatively easy to install. Unfortunately, I quickly found that I had grown accustomed to the firmer, tacky feel of my prior tape, and thus went back to the (more spendy) Lizard Skin 2.5 DSP. It is just a matter of user preference I suppose. To me, the cork/gel has a more "foamy" feel to it. While others may prefer read more it, I did not.

Why would you use anything else?

It's cushy, it's grippy, it's durable. Over 1 year later, and still using the same rolls on my road bike, even with 4 re-wraps. The tape has no tears, and has kept all its original properties, even the color (I ordered bright yellow).

Classic and cushy

This cork tape was super easy to apply. The natural is exactly the aesthetic I was looking for. It's holding strong, nice and squishy, and looking great!

Grippy and comfy

This tape is non-adhesive and easy to install with some kind of finishing tape as well. The cork look is clean and stands out but not too much. The tape provides a plush feel and has held up so far

Looks and Comfort

I've used Cinelli cork tape for years, and recently bought this to replace a family members worn out tape. It's very easy to install and doesn't require much stretch at all, other than to help prevent slippage or unwrapping. I was reminded of just how comfortable the bars feel with this tape after having finished the job, and the red looks good and adds some "pop" to the bike.

Plush and wraps well

I love this stuff. Really reasonably priced, lasts a long time, and comes in a ton of different colors. It also is nice and stretchy, so you can "tune" how soft or hard you want it to feel by how tight you wrap it.

Comfiest My Hands Have Ever Been

I didn't think I'd love riding my bike anymore than I already do, but I was wrong! As soon as I wrapped up my handle bars with these bad boys I never wanted to let go. I have never used the gel cork and I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in comfort versus the standard cork tape. They are holding up super well, so far so good!!

Certified dope

This tape has a thin layer of some non-stick silicone like stuff on the back instead of tape. It keeps it put better than adhesive, it's easier to work with, and it won't leave a bunch of gunk on your bars when you unwrap it - genius. It's nice and stretchy and easy to get a good clean looking wrap with. It's a little squishier than your average cork tape. The natural cork color read more is beautiful and looks right at home on old steel bikes. The finishing tape looks cool but it's useless - as usual. Use electrical tape.

Sweet Tape!

I got this tape for my commuter and plan on getting this same stuff again when it needs to be replaced. There's enough padding that it's super comfortable for long rides without gloves, and it's super easy to install.

What I'll order next time...

I find this much more comfortable than the standard cork. It looks good in multiple colors, and it works well.

In a few words...

I know, most of us cyclists love to go about talking on the details of everything involving our bikes. This time, I want to keep it simple. I haven't used too many brands on Handlebar tape, but from all that I've used or ridden with this cork tape from Cinelli makes me seriously consider not buying anything else other than another of the same set AND COLOR (classy cork). Easy read more to install, resistant, comfortable and classy. Enough tape to wrap it the way you want, with more or less stretching.

Good Stuff!

This stuff is great, has been my go-to tape for some time now. Super easy to wrap; the gel layer really sticks to the bars and it's thicker so you're not as concerned about tearing it when applying tension. Padding is significantly increased compared to their standard cork tape and it washes well with soap and water. Depending on how much I ride (or crash) it's normally durable read more enough to last through the season.

Killer no filler

I have been using these on my commuter for a while now and they have held up really well. They provide awesome padding and shock absorption. Plus the option of cork colored cork tape is rad. For the price I would recommend these over the traditional cork tape.

Is one order enough to cover the right & left sides of the handlebar or do I need to place 2 quantity orders?
