May 4, 2020Disappointed
I love Carhart, I love the materials, I hate the quality control. I bought this jacket, not because I need another jacket, but because I expected it to be bomb proof. I go to tighten the sleeves , and the velcro tab is already coming off the jacket. Admittedly this is an easily fixable item , except now because of this "The Sky is falling Pandemic", but the jacket should not be… read more falling apart before I even wear it. My lovely wife , knowing how OCD I am , gave me a good ribbing , while my new jacket sits unworn waiting for the taylor and the Texas summer.

March 24, 2020Crazy Versatile
I can wear this during chilly winter days in the 30s with just a t-shirt underneath. I almost never wore my heavy North Face coat this winter because this jacket works so well. I can wear it during early spring where the temps get into the low 50s without getting hot. It's very light and comfortable and easy to wear. I'm 6'6" 250 lbs and the Large Tall size fits me wonderfully.… read more I'm usually an XL guy, so I'll say it runs big.

January 28, 2020Just What I Wanted
I was worried about being between sizes (I have 40-41" chest, 31-32" waist) as some medium products are too tight and others are too big. I was concerned this would be similar situation; however, this jacket fits just as I'd hoped and is perfect for me. Body: I found I have room for layering if I need and the armholes allow unrestricted arm movement. The shoulders end at or just… read more beyond my shoulders. The collar is a light fleece material. The front hem ends about 3" below the front pockets on a pair of jeans. The rear hem is a drop-tail and falls just about the bottom of my seat. The bottom hem is adjustable with elastic cords and captured stops (they don’t dangle with the cord) on both sides. Sleeves: The sleeves end across my knuckles on the backs of my hands with the cuffs not tightened. As the cuffs are adjustable, I'm able to keep the sleeves at my wrist. I have no issues removing the sleeves when the cuffs are adjusted. I appreciate the slightly extra sleeve length because they do not ride up to expose my wrists when raising my arms. Storage: Excellent. Period. The front chest pocket extends almost to the armpit. Front hand warmer pockets are deeper than their openings and close with a snap. Interior pockets are one zipper-closed (left chest) and one drop-in (right chest) secured at its top with a Velcro square. All easily accommodate my cell phone (Samsung S9) which is in a mid-range protective case. Color: I ordered the Peat. It's a muted grayish-green. It's not a military olive drab, it’s closer to a National Parks Service green. I feel it’s represented well in product pictures and I like it quite a bit. The collar is a medium gray and complements the green. Usage: I’ve only limited use with it, but I am happy with how the jacket has performed in upper 30s weather. I bought this jacket for everyday use as well as during travel (my work allows the opportunity to get out and explore) and hope to use this jacket much, much more in the future.

January 2, 2019Boxy
I returned this jacket because it was boxier and thinner than it looks in the picture. The quality looked good, but I was looking for a winter coat and this seems to be more of a fall coat.

November 27, 2018Great Cold Piece
Warm, comfortable, and good daily layer. Medium sleeves are long for 5'8" male. Normally wear a size L jacket however got away with ordering a Medium. Runs just slightly large in my opinion.

Lightweight, but warm. Nice for chilly days as a layer for the wind. Sizing is good.

December 3, 2017Nice looking and performing Carhartt
Coat performs as advertised. I wear with a hoodie for early winter 30's plus warmth. Plenty of pockets for all your stuff, and the lower drawstring keeps the cold out. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because I would have liked zippered outer pockets rather than snaps. Other then that, good fitting and good looking jacket!!

April 3, 2017Love Carhartt
Bought this as an Xmas gift for my father in law and he swears by Carhartt! Anything Carhartt is super warm and durable, especially for working in cold conditions or in a warehouse type of setting. It fits good and has good insulation

November 11, 2016Decent Jacket, Excellent price
Good jacket, Well made. I expected it to be a little thicker. I wear a sweatshirt or fleece under it but great when dealing with windy conditions.

January 2, 2018Would you say this jacket is thin enough to use as an insulated liner under a softshell jacket? I would use it as an outer jacket as well but main purpose would be as an inner liner.
