Comfortable and Sturdy

This was my first climbing harness I got after starting climbing in college. After months of renting and getting tired of the rental harnesses that had to be looped through each time and were incredibly uncomfortable I decided it was time to get one of my own. At first I used to avoid top roping and rather stuck to bouldering because I absolutely hated putting on and wearing a harness, read more but this one drastically changed that. I still boulder more but my harness is no longer my reason for avoiding the rope. This harness is very comfortable and adjusted very well, most days I forget that I even have it on. In addition, the gear loops are very strong and well made, never once making me concerned that I am going to lose my gear and rarely getting in my way. For the price it is set at, you really can’t go wrong with this harness. Pros Adjusts well Comfortable Sturdy Cheap Cons None Best Use Climbing, Repelling

Great basic harness

Comfortable and does what it is supposed to do. The fit and straps are comfortable and as a first harness you really cant ask for more. great value and quality as I have come to expect from CAMP.

Went back to Black Diamond

This harness is okay for the price, the main problem I had with the two Flint harnesses I've owned is the gear loops break easy as they are not sewn in to the waist. also, the leg loops always come loose - I used them for canyoneering and the last time the loops broke again sending all my hard gear down a waterfall and lost a few things. It's a good beginner harness.

Decent harness

I've had this harness for a few months now, and have used it indoors and outdoors. It's fairly comfortable for sport climbing. It would probably get a little uncomfortable for extended hanging, but that's not what it's designed for. The fit is as to be expected and adjustment is easy. The belay biner keeper loop is interesting, but it is a bit difficult to thread the belay biner read more through it. It do like that it keeps the biner from rotating and cross loading. I feel that the gear loops are set a little far back. It's fine for sport climbing but would be an issue for trad climbing if you have to reach way behind you to grab a piece. On the plus side, this would keep gear out of your lap on less than vertical climbs. Pros: Price Fairly comfortable Fits well Full strength haul loop. Cons: gear loops are a bit far back.

More than expected!

Loads more comfortable than I would have ever thought, even when taking lead falls. It has little to almost no padding, but it compensates for it with a good shape that distributes stress across a large surface area. I have yet to take a fall that was remotely painful. The sizing seems to be pretty good but maybe just a little bigger than I expected. I'm a 29" waist and the medium read more tightened ALL the way works well. 5 stars for the price. 4 stars when compared to all other harnesses out there

Whoa

I needed a new harness fast. That is how this purchase started out; as a need. It very quickly transitioned into an amazing purchase. My old harness had died and I needed a new one. So I bought the first harness in black and red I could find. I was not worried about fit or brand. When I received this harness it was more than I expected. Super comfortable, very well equipped. It read more has four double protected gear loops, it has a belay attachment setup, and it has a 500lb weighted haul loop. Very comfortably padded leg and waist belt. I used this harness all summer long as a ropes course director and loved it. I recommended this harness to several of my new employees and several purchased it after my review. This harness is worth much more than what I paid for it.

Gear loops too far back?

I just purchased this harness and took it out for a test drive. I immediately noticed the gear loops seemed to be too far back. I'm right on the cusp of a small and a medium fit but chose to go with the small for efficiency. Maybe that's why. It's my first new harness but I've been climbing for a few years. I didn't think about it at the time when I tried it on. And it might be read more the fact that it is a tight fit. Seems like it would be very difficult to see/reach any cams on the back loops. Something to keep in mind when looking at new harnesses if you've never purchased one. Unfortunately I don't think I can return it once I've used it. Otherwise it seems very nice. That's why I bought it.

Solid Entry Level Harness

Im just getting into sport climbing, and snagged this harness when it was on sale. Im a 34" waist with skiers thighs and the large fits well. The inner thigh could use more padding IMO, however, thats personal taste. Adequate gear loops for several QDs and ATC. Overall Im happy with the product and looking forward to more climbs in it.

Is the rear haul loop rated? If so, to what rating? Thank you.
