Small/ compact and a little more

This is a good pack for short hikes, boat rides, or whatever else. 2L is just about what you need without being too heavy. Pretty good fit, enough room for a full bladder, a very light layer and a snack or two. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Couldn't get fit right for running

I had been doing trail runs with a big bulky Dakine pack (really more of a mtb pack). I loved that this Camelbak was super light and streamlined but I just couldn't get the fit right. It chafed right above my collar bone no matter what I did. I started using a Salomon hip belt (still not perfect, but pretty good) for runs 2.5 hrs and less and I just use the big bulky pack for those read more longer than 3 hours. Its heavy but doesn't chafe. Will need to figure something out for longer trail races (over 3 hours) like a vest or something. If you are just using this to hike or ride (i.e. no major movement on the upper body) I think it would be great.

Awesome Pack!

I used this for the Wasatch Back Ragnar this summer, this pack was fantastic! It's highly adjustable and doesn't bounce around a lot when you're running. But be mindful of weight, 2L of water, plus a jacket could make this bag weigh about 4-5 lbs, which can eventually feel like a lot on hard trails. This pack really came in handy when I had a 9 mile uphill leg in 90 degree heat. read more I was really lucky to have this pack during that leg of the Ragnar. If you're a runner, cycler, or day hiker, look no further, this is a great pack. Your search is over.
