Burton Ion Step On Snowboard Boot - Men's reviews and deals for sale

Working exclusively with Burton's Step On Bindings, the Ion Step On Boots deliver the aggressive flex and uncompromising support you've come to expect from Burton's flagship all-terrain boot, but without the sketchy, sloppy feel of the bindings of yesteryear.

Beyond step-in technology, the Ions' Life liner brings an improved fit straight from the box compared to the previous Infinite Ride liner that previously came with the Ion. This liner is highly resistant to breakdown over the course of a long season, meaning it retains its responsive feel for seasons to come. Its also thermo-moldable with Ultralon Performance foam for an exact fit, and it's hooked up with Burton's DryRide Heat Cycle lining, which is a thermally activated material that retains toasty warmth in frigid conditions, so you can ride comfortably all day when the snow is just too good to quit.

Disappointed

Considering the price, I expected a lot more than I got. The boot was just a little uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker. I was disappointed with two things most. First, I was surprised at how often I had to re-tighten them, which is quite annoying. However, the biggest disappointment was trying to get the boot off. It was damn near impossible if the boot was in a bad mood. I checked read more and rechecked to see if a cord was caught somewhere to no avail. Nevertheless, I would push and pull and wrench and grunt. Eventually after 5-10 minutes it would finally loosen and I would breath a sigh of relief that I didn't need the shears to rescue myself. Hmph.
