Burton Avalon Bib Pant - Women's reviews and deals for sale
Allow the Burton Avalon Bib Pant to be your ethereal island of dryness in the middle of a deep powder day, and soggy pants will never send you home early again. Like its mythical namesake, the Avalon provides a place of refuge as you surf through bottomless white stuff, with a full bib to stop snow from sneaking its way into your layers.
Burton constructed the entire pant out of its 2-layer Dryride fabric so moisture won't soak through when you're earning free refills on a storm day, lining it with soft, stretchy taffeta to wick moisture with a little help from inner thigh vents. Fleece-lined hand pockets keep your fingers warm when you're waiting for your friends to show up, and a chest pocket provides easy access to essentials you want to keep close. Adjust the bib straps to get the right fit, and use the drop seat construction to get back outside faster during a quick midday nature call. Best of all, Burton nailed the relaxed fit of the Avalon, so you can enjoy riding in a pant that fits like a trendy pair of baggy overalls but still moves with you on the mountain.

December 4, 2020Runs Small
Love these Bibs! Great quality and comfort! Love the pockets and ease of access; except they run small!!! I had to exchange mine for a larger size. I’m 5’9” / 140 lbs and often run small -medium depending on the item. Snow pants I’m usually a medium, as I like to have room to move. I ordered the Medium and found they didn’t give any wiggle room at all! All I tried on under… read more them were a tight pair of leggings and a long sleeve shirt, and they didn’t allow for a lot of movement; when I bent down, squatted or sat down, the buttons in the rear popped open, and the pants were tight and uncomfortable in the thigh and hip area when doing so. I knew immediately, when I’m on the slopes, I’d be extremely disappointed and irritated; so I exchanged for a size large to allow myself room for movement and breathability.

December 1, 2020Knee Brace
I blew out my knee on the mountain 6 years ago and now have to wear an orthopedic brace when skiing. I have been wearing mens ski pants since, trouble getting women's pants over the brace. These went over the brace, but it was super tight and even though I loved the look and all the features they were just too tight for comfort.

November 19, 2020really wanted them to work
these are so cute but just did not work for my body type-- writing in case other gals my size are also wondering if they'll work for them! I am 5'2", slim, with athletic legs and bought an XS after other reviews mentioned how long these run. Unfortunately these still went well beyond my feet past an amount adjustable by the top straps or reasonable to tailor. I found that there… read more was ample room in the top for layering but the legs were so fitted around my thighs that it would have been too restricting for this easily-cold girlie to ski all day with a pair of leggings underneath. Wish they worked, back to the drawing board.

November 9, 2020Great but still had to add Velcro
Last winter I ordered these bibs because I was sick of wearing a belt and always pulling my pants up! Overall, they are awesome! But not perfect. I ordered both L and XL to figure out size. The length was better for me in the large but they were slightly tight. I worried I would have a hard time bending over for my bindings. The large probably would have worked, but I kept the… read more XL so it wouldnât be tight. The XL is a little more roomy than I would normally wear. Because I went with the larger size, they are a little too long. I step on the back of my heels when playing in the snow with my kids. My biggest complaint is the snaps that keep the butt flap up. Whenever I would bend over, they would unsnap. If I didnât immediately snap them back up, the zippers would start to unzip and pretty soon, my butt flap was hanging wide open. After this happened multiple times, I decided to rig it with Velcro. By adding Velcro, they now stay in place and I donât have this problem. So it was an easy fix. But it was super annoying to have to rig them when I paid so much for the bibs. Overall, Iâve liked the switch to wearing bibs instead of pants. But they arenât perfect. For the price, I would have liked the snaps to stay in place.

My go to bib for 5 years running! Reasons to love: Stretch paneling in the back for easy movement, Chest pocket and fleece lined pockets. Drop seat zip feature for easy bathroom breaks. Thigh vents to prevent over heating. Durable fabric for 0 show of wear and tear. Light shell for easy layering no matter the weather. Stylish fit. Wide bottom that fit and zipper for an easy… read more pull over boots.

April 16, 2020Loved, but...
I really loved everything about these pants, they were almost perfect, the flex and all made them super comfy. The only problem is the falling down strap. I know this would drive me crazy when I am out riding and I just had to return them. If your okay with the bib straps constantly falling down your arm then you will be okay, but I couldn't.

April 15, 2020SUPER HAPPY!!
I love the fit, quality, color, all the pockets, omg I could go on and on. Every single time I wear these, I get AT LEAST two compliments. It's crazy, ppl actually stop me to tell me how much they like my bib :) I'm CRAZY satisfied.

March 24, 2020TRUE LOVE
I love love love these bibs. I got the Olive colored ones and the print on the straps are just so cute. I love the way the back unzips for easy access in the restroom. On my ride days I usually just wear these when I leave the house until I get home. Had no problems with bunching in the back either. Prefect for long legs.

March 6, 2020Not ideal for curvy gals..
I really wanted to love these ski pants, but in all honesty they are not built for girls with curves. Overall they have some cool technical features and seem to be made from quality material. They are pretty fitted through the butt and hip. Every time I bent over in them the buttons would unsnap. Will be returning these and continuing the search.

March 5, 2020Cute & Comfy!
I got tired of pulling my Burton pants up all the time so this year I decided to try bibs and I was very happy with them. They were roomy enough for me to wear a sweatshirt underneath and I had no worries about getting snow down the back because I always have my jacket on. They are long but once my boots were on, it was fine. My only complaint is that the buckle to shorten the… read more straps is not very good and didn't stay in the place where I wanted. I read other reviews complaining about the zippers coming undone but I never had this problem. I would buy them again!

February 22, 2020I really want to love them
The teal color is great, the material was nice, but the fit... ugh. My biggest problem was the elastic gathering in the back, it was baggy, a perfect gap for snow to fall through. And, although not the deal breaker, the pockets are lined nicely with fleece but they are open pockets, no zippers, a snow collector. They wouldn't be my go to pants when hitting the slopes and for… read more the price they need to be.

February 15, 2020Wrong body type
Got the Avalon bib in small, I am 5’1” and weigh 126 I have a small waist and I have athletic thighs, not too big but you can tell I don’t skip leg day? seriously though my body is proportional The bibs are awesome, great material but for me the crotch hung too low and the waist to chest area bunches up, even after I adjusted the straps. I feel like this style is made for… read more a long torso girl with thinner not so athletic thighs. These were snug on my thighs, big on the waist area and crotch hung too low, and they were EXTRA EXTRA long in the length although they do have the strap so you can bunch the hem up and not drag them, but definitely longer than any other Burton pants I own. Wish they would have worked out.

February 10, 2020Too long
I was surprised that a XS is too long in length for a 5'4" person, I don't think the size of the pants corresponds with the length. It was so long I stepped on my pants with shoe boots and would fall over them so I had to return them. They look great in terms of quality and color, too bad!

January 27, 2020Absolutely Stoked
I needed a pair of new snowpants to replace a pair I grew out of. I'm super impressed by how not-bulky these bibs are, yet how incredibly warm they are. I'm a pretty small person, and I would definitely not consider myself to be curvy, but these pants fit me very well, if not a little baggy--which is to be expected, as they are snowpants. And let me tell ya, the pockets on these… read more are AMAZING. And the drop-seat? PHENOMENAL, so handy! They are a bit long, which it would be nice if Backcountry sold them in different lengths, but I think that the length is perfect once you've got on your ski or snowboard boots. All in all, I am very happy with these pants and highly recommend them.

January 16, 2020Great, but went with other style.
I ordered these in the Deep Teal color in a size medium. The color is fantastic, with a dark purple lining. My favorite feature is the "drop seat construction", a.k.a. butt flap. The suit conveniently zips down on both sides so that you won't have to remove the straps to use the restroom. I ultimately decided to go with another brand/style because the legs on this item were so… read more long on me, which wasn't a surprise as I normally wear pants in a 'short'. The style I ended up keeping had this sizing option.

January 16, 2020TOTALLY OBSESSED!!
I see what the other reviewers were saying about the bigger waist. I wear a small purchased a small and it fit everywhere except the waist, no worries though I just added the cool arcade adventure belt and I'm good to go! Wearing these for skiing because skiers like a little extra movement room too!

January 10, 2020Run big in waist and torso
I am 5'9 and 120lb ordered size S. The length was okay since you can adjust it - but the pants were huge, I could fit insulated pants under it and the waist was still so big. Had to return them. Very sad, because the quality is excellent

December 11, 2019Not good fit for tall and athletic
I'm 5'10", weigh 160, and usually wear a size 8. I have an athletic build with strong legs. Giving all this detail because if you are built similarly and have been struggling (like i have) to find a good bib pant, this is NOT your pant. I bought a size Large to have enough length and to make sure the pants weren't tight around my thighs while skiing. Length and fit around legs… read more was perfect, but I could have fit an entire other human in the torso of this thing. Like it was falling down and so large it was super annoying. Unfortunately I have returned this pant and am continuing my search.
