I agree with everything Tim C. said about the black diamond atc guide. It you are looking to progress your climbing later I would recommend this ATC. It is great for belaying for top rope, lead climbing, repelling, and multi pitch. When you use this on a multi pitch it make belaying your buddy up to you easy.
