Great Jacket!

Lightweight, comfortable, and great fit. Good venting. Perfect rain jacket! It is an athletic fit. I'm tall - arm length can sometimes be an issue - this coat is perfect.

I like it !

I like the materiel and the construction , the hood and pockets seem well built . I've worn it in a mist and it worked great and I wear it as a outer layer too . I was worried about the fit because I seldom get something right the first time , 6' 5" 220lbs. with long arms . So I ordered the 2XL and hoped it wasn't too big . Fits like it was made for me ! We'll see how it read more holds up but for now I'm very happy with it . If you're a big guy this is too small probably , I wear a 46 long in a suit coat and wear 34 or 36 waist in jeans and pants and it's plenty snug on me . I can layer underneath but not a lot . Love the green color !

Excellent value

I was surprised at how amazing this jacket is. This is the first review I've written about a jacket period! I've owned many 3L jackets for hiking and snowboarding and this one is by far the best value. It's also really cool looking. There are also some pleasant surprises like the soft felt lined pockets. It's a minimalist jacket and packs down small but it won't disappoint in terms read more of comfort and fit.

Great fit, good stretch, light weight

Kept me bone dry and warm during a solid 8 hr Full on rain and snow mix day. Hood fits well. Great Orange colour to have in the hunting backcountry area. I tend to wear large shirts and jackets for mobility and this one fits as a large just the same with room for a couple base layers. Zippers are tight and keep out drafts. Arm length is perfect for me. But if you're a knuckle dragger read more this model might not be for you.

Fit is super weird

I tried this on and will be returning it without using it. The sizing and cut are super bizarre. I have a wider chest and narrower hips and am a medium in most brands (Arc'teryx medium fits me very well), so I ordered this in a M. The sleeves are very short and don't fully reach my wrists, especially with my arms raised. (I have normal length arms - +2 ape index, I think.) Meanwhile read more the lower torso is super baggy. I don't understand what shape of person this is cut for - certainly not climbers. The price is right but the fit is unusable.

Amazing, but size down some

I didn’t think I was going to love this jacket, but I kinda fell in love with it. This jacket is very lightweight and sheds water extremely well. Longest I’ve been out in the rain with it is about 30 minutes in a decent rain, but I stayed dry underneath. I would not a few things about it though for the sake of other. First of all, I’ve noticed that most of Backcountry’s read more clothes size a little big and this is no different. 80% of my jackets and clothes are mediums, but this is a small and still feels baggy, like a large Medium or maybe even a large. Overall though, this is a jacket I’d happily use to throw on as a shell!

Kept me Dry!

I've only used this a couple times but have managed to put it to the test in some pretty heavy rain. So far it's kept me completely dry for hours in heavy rain, and the pit zips are great for dumping heat fast. This is a good option if you're looking for a fairly lightweight/packable jacket, without breaking the bank.

Solid & I loved the color

I honestly got this got for fashion not function. The bright orange got me! But then it rained the night I was out with it- and it was perfect. super breathable- and the hood didn't cover up my face so I could still see.

Top Notch.

I have been wearing this Uinta 3L Strech Rain Jacket for a few weeks now and I can't leave home without it. From desert downpours to windy nights walking around town, it covers it all. Amazing fit, pure comfort, and great looks.

Lightweight. Hose Approved.

I've used the Uinta 3L a few times but can't say I’ve been confronted with much for weather. I had high hopes that it would perform well but with no weather in the near future, I gave it the ol' hose test. 5 minutes. Dry as seasoned kindlin'.... except for the open pocket. Although it held water on the inside quite well which could come in handy down the trail. It’s read more super lightweight which makes it a very versatile jacket and it packs down fairly small. I've been using it fly fishing lately as my other wading jackets are a bit on the heavier side for warm days. With the vents and thinner material, it works well as a sun/heat barrier but when the weather moves in, I suspect it's going to keep me dry .The cuffs are great, they taper a bit forward along the top of your hands and are longer than normal. I’ve had other rain jackets where the velcro rolls forward at the hands and ends up chaffing my skin. Not having that problem here. I ordered a large which is a bit baggy for me, but will allow for plenty of layering space if needed.

Foul Weather Insurance

The Uinta jacket surprised me for with how comfortable the fit and feel of the fabric is for a jacket in the "light rain jacket" class compared to others I've had in the past! While it fits a bit baggier than most which is a huge plus for me, this gives me more options to layer under and helps regulate temperature with the space. I was able to comfortably fit my light puffy under read more it without feeling like an overstuffed burrito (as much as I love burritos!) This jacket has more wearability than most other light shells as well. While it does pack down small, its not a piece ya take for those "just in case" moments, its a piece you can leave the house in. Pros: Lightweight. Easy to stuff into its own zippered pocket. Well ventilated with easy to reach pit zips. Versatile, its been nice for quick protection from A to B at the resort but also a nice jacket for skiing in! Cons: A bit heavy to compete with the Helium II and Minimalist shells. Pit zip pulls are hard to grab with gloves due to the smooth fabric. I've not tested it out in a full on down pour, which like all "waterproof" jackets will still wet out eventually, but I'd not shy away from it with the Uinta.

Amazing! Lightweight!

I've used this jacket several times now for some touring situations. It is perfect for unpredictable weather. It packs up super small, but when needed is very functional against weather! I'm loving this piece of outerwear in my collection.
