Sleeve fixed

The best solution I could think of was to extend the sleeves by attaching a piece of fabric. I compared the sleeves side by side to my other jackets (all ranging from S to M), and this jacket's sleeves were a couple of centimeters short. Which in theory shouldn't make such a difference. However, as one of the comments here mentioned, the elastic band in the cuffs was pulling the read more sleeves upwards. I took it to a tailor, got the elastic band removed and attached some fabric to it. Now, it can be worn, but I don't love the look. It definitely is not what I paid for when I bought this. It's a viable solution if anyone really wants this jacket

Not worth it!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. There is no use of having a jacket if the sleeves don't fit. According to the size chart a sleeve for the size medium should be 31.5in, but this one is 26.5in (I measured it), no wonders it does not fit me. I don't believe a large would have fit me either. I own an XS jacket with longer sleeves than this jacket. Warranty does not cover outside read more the states, which is nonsense if you had to travel and have no way of returning it. Basically it's an over priced pj

Sleeves way too short

Great jacket other than the sleeves are not made well, very short.

Warm. Lightweight. But the Sleeves...

So this jacket is super warm for how lightweight it is! Thankfully I read the reviews and sized up to a Medium. I typically wear a small in most tops, but am finding anything Backcountry brand I have to size up. The color - black splatter - is pretty sweet. Only downside to this jacket is the sleeve length. I'm short - 5-3 - and the sleeves stop about 1/2-1 inch short of my wrists.

The sleeves were a deal breaker for me

The sleeves are super short for me and ride up. Seems like the insulation was lacking a bit in some areas as well. However, great price!

Exchanging for a larger size

Size up! I'm generally an XS in jackets. I have never found an adult jacket that fits my arms without needing to be rolled. But this jacket was quite small on me! The XS is definitely made for petite and thin. The arm length was perfect, but the waist and bust were too small. I saw the one other review and thought, I'm a 34 waist and jackets are always too big. But I should have read more sized up! I really like the shape of the jacket, not too puffy. It is a little thinner material than I expected from the pictures but seemed warm.

Fit

5'6" 120 lbs 35" bust 38" hips this jacket was stretched to the absolute limit over my hips. If you have a 39 inch hip you need to size up to a medium. also I felt like the armpits were a bit tight so perhaps I also need to size up to a medium although that would mean that the chest area would be large and no longer form-fitting.it in in the areas where it's a bit big.

Sleeve rides up

here's a picture of what the sleeve does after you make the slightest movement the bias tape around the bottom of the sleeve arm starts progressively mounting up your arm.

Sleeve

the problem is not that the sleeves on this coat are not long enough as some other reviewers have complained. The problem is that the elastic around the wrist, to be specific the elasticized bias tape that they've attached to the wrist is way too tight. What is the result? The result is that the wrist area gets squeezed and the coat sleeve progressively mounts up your arm. This read more results in the sleeve effectively being too short even though it's not. The only solution would be to remove the bias tape that the coat comes with and take new bias tape, a larger cut of bias tape and attach it. You can buy bias tape at Jo-Ann fabrics and the like and so it on by hand certainly but should you have to with a jacket at this price point? Probably if the price dropped to about $60 or less I would be willing to do that. For reference I'm 5 foot 6 in 120 lb with 35 inch bust and 38 inch hips

Feathers

A few feathers were coming out of the coat when I open the package. I doubt that this will continue to be an issue though. It wouldn't deter me from purchasing this coat and keeping it.
