Not so covert

I have two pairs of these and bought my wife two pairs. Our use case is indoor cycling. They outperform bibs or outer wear shorts in this environment. They are plenty cushioned for 120 minute or rides, they fit really well and they are easy to launder. I can preserve my nicest bibs for show and tell on the local club rides! I’m tempted to try these outdoors sometime; I’m not read more sure anyone would notice they are only liners.

Great if you have a tramp stamp

The quality is great, nice fabric, nice pad, but like others have said, what is up with the low rise on the rear. As a nearly 50 year old guy, I really don't want to ride around with my crack showing and I am sure whoever might be behind me feels even stronger about it than I do.

Quality Details.....

Great materials from the waist band to the pad on the chamois. Great price for good quality. They don't get saggy in the crotch and they breathe when you sweat. These are great if you are looking for a house brand that has quality and a good price

Great, high quality product

I've used this for bike touring and it has helped keep me comfortable and having fun on the bike. Low profile appearance is great. Padding is good. Attached is a photo for what it looks like (no others available. It can get a little hot if you are wearing certain kinds of underwear underneath, so if you run into that issue you may want to try a few different variations. Overall read more comfortable, will likely buy another pair.

Great for the price

I've used these about 4 times on 10+ mile rides on east cost mountain bike single track. They always perform well. The elastic around the quads keeps everything in place. I bought these when they were on sale so the padding and material matched my expectations. I really couldn't ask for anything more. They cushion what they should and they breathe, keeping everything comfortable. read more Easy to wash, no special care. I don't do extended rides that might benefit from more padding. I have a muscular athletic shape. I bought a medium but would likely go for a large in the future just to give me a little more room in the butt. The waist slips down a little giving any chasers a view I'd rather not share. I wear shorts over them and don't worry about the extra air.

Really impressed!

Really impressed with these. Great quality and so far after about 600 miles or so they’ve held up extremely well. Also the price beat anything I could get from the competition which always helps.

Just What I Was Looking For

These things are great. Very breathable for long, hot days on the bike. The non-slip band on the legs keep these in place, and I haven't had any issues with slipping. The padding is pretty low profile, but definitely buys me another hour or two in the saddle before I start needing a break. Just bought a second pair so I don't have to wash my first pair so often... I'm a 34 waist read more with big thighs - the medium size fit perfectly.

Good support and breathes well

These have support in all the right places. Real stretchy and supportive in the brief area which keeps the padding in the right spot and the legs have a real breathable fabric so you don’t get too swampy. Breathes well and doesn’t chafe. Non slip elastic on the legs is subtle and works well to prevent riding up and bunching. I’m between sizes, bought mine a size down to be read more snug so this may be a factor in my satisfaction with the fit.

Great fit

I typically don't wear a chamois or pad while mountain biking, but I was starting to get some serious chaffing from daily riding and 20+ mile days. These are a perfect comfortable fit and the padding is not too thick. It doesn't feel like you're wearing a diaper or waddling around when you're walking. I liked them so much I ended up getting 3 pairs for daily use. Fit was 100% perfect read more (waistband was not too loose or too tight) for size medium. I'm typically wear size 31 pants.

Low value

You get what you pay for. For ten dollars more I would go with Pearl Izumi liners. The backcountry waist is very loose. Feels like they are falling off. The padding is marginal but better than going without I guess. Overall they are true to size.

Great purchase!

I bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them. He says it really helps pad his tush when he's mountain biking.

Feels like good quality, Doesn't fit

Unfortunately this liner didn't fit. I am 5'11", 185 lbs, ordered the large. Standing up, they fit great. When I bent over into attack position they slid down my butt. Haha. The quality felt good, everything seemed nice out of the package, but unfortunately I have to return.

Chapeau BC!!

I've had a pair of underliners before for casual cycling but they were made for women that I bought at a sporting goods store on sale. This is the first pair I bought made for men and they are heaven! The fit and materials are as good as a pair of high end bibs. I'm stoked that Backcountry is making their own products....especially products with such high functionality. Keep em read more coming guys!! I typically wear size medium and these fit true for me.

Stay Comfy

Shorts offer some great padding in all the right spots. The elastic around the thigh towards the bottom of the shorts is forgiving and doesn't pull your skin or hair like other brand.

Cushy butt

These are my first liners and so far they are pretty comfy. I have yet to test on the trail but I've ridden without liners many times before and anything is better than nothing. I noticed the band around the thighs are a little loose but everything else is snug.

Received today, great concept!

Compared to other shorts with a built in liner, these fit me a little odd. They are a little loose in the legs and waist but good snug fit elsewhere. Love that I will be able to wear these under many types of shorts such as swimming trunks that have their liner removed. Depending on how well these hold up to wash and wear, I will look to get more!

These Rule

I'm not usually a person who wears a liner short underneath my shorts while on the MTB but I love these things. I'm a 32" waist and the medium fits perfect. Super stretchy and breathable and I love how low profile the pads are. Stoked to have a little more 'cush' without feeling like I'm wearing a diaper.
