December 9, 2020Great fit, great price, great quality
My husband has gone through two wind jackets in the past few years. Ok that's a euphemism; he lost them. Instead of buying another expensive jacket, I decided to try the new Backcountry brand jacket for a sliver of the price, and in bright red. Hopefully the red will help him keep track of it - and I can easily spot him when he's wearing it - but if he loses it we aren't out a Benjamin,… read more win-win! Fits great (he's a medium and it fits like a slim fit medium), packs up small enough to fit anywhere, and takes the edge off on those blowy days. Great find!

December 7, 2020Runs small, esp in the chest and back!
I ordered a large in this jacket, which is the size I wear in pretty much everything. I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs. Anyhow, the large was too small in my shoulders, back and chest. It's nice material otherwise, but maybe get a size larger than you normally wear.

November 19, 2020Perfect MTB layer
I use this jacket for sub 45 degree days with a long sleeve base layer underneath. It's super light weight, breathable and keeps me warm. If I get warm on the climb it packs down really small to fit in a jersey pocket and then I'll throw it on for the descent. The fit is great for an active layer, very form fitting and comfortable to move in. I'm 5'8" and 150lbs and wear a small.… read more

November 10, 2020Nice but tight in the chest
Well made, lots of pockets in well thought-out places, air vent, light-weight. Fit was a little too tight for comfort in the chest and shoulders. I wear a 40R jacket, and the large was too slim fitting for me.

October 14, 2020Great Windbreaker
Very light and fits in my hip pack for unexpected rain/wind relief in the fall and spring. Nice piece to just leave in a pack and forget about it until you need it.

July 17, 2020Great Jacket
I bought this jacket for my Dad who walks 6 miles every morning. He was cold at the start of his walks and the air was often wet. He loves this jacket and says he can wear it for his entire walk without overheating. It also keeps him dry until the dew burns off in the AM. It fits well and true to size. I like that he is more visible when wearing this jacket.

December 16, 2019Great windbreaker
I used this windbreaker for mtb and loved it! It's a great piece when you are starting off your climb and there's a windchill. I tend to get really warm when I get to the top of a climb so having a lightweight packable windbreaker that won't weigh me down is ideal on descents. Being able to just pack this in my hip pack without taking to much space for my tools or snacks is great!… read more Not to mention the fact that it has a DWR coated finish in case you get caught in those light rain showers .

November 14, 2019Killer Windbreaker
Got this in a medium. Needed it in a large to help me fill out a thicker base layer. But other than that flaw of my own, this thing was great in the light wet rain/snow I experience while walking around the hills of Timpanogos. It packs small so I could carry it in my hydration packs extra small pocket for a quick find when needed on the trail.

October 14, 2019Great for morning runs
Now that the fall season is upon us, I find myself using this more and more for morning runs when there is a brisk breeze. It's so light weight you almost forget its there.

July 1, 2019Great lightweight accessory
I bought this wind coat before a planned 30-mile hike/trail run around the Pemi Loop in the White Mountains. I wanted something light to pack in my hydration vest, that would battle light weather conditions. It worked well from a weight perspective, and we got caught in a real storm with 40+ mph winds and sideways rain. It wasn't enough for that weather, but, I didn't expect… read more it to be - HOWEVER, it did work to keep me dry and comfortable after that storm, and throughout the rest of the day with intermittent wind and light rain. Love the color, the size fits perfect (Medium, I'm 5"10 - 170 lb) and I've worn it multiple times now in light storm conditions and it works well. Only complaint, and only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there is next to zero ventilation; only two tiny eyelets under the arm pits. I tried running with this in a light storm in more humid weather and sweat through it from the inside out. So, at that point, I'd rather be wet from the rain than wet from my own sweat. But in temps under 75 degrees, for light activity and hiking, this piece is great.

June 17, 2019Perfectly Packable
I bought the men's jacket because I like things to fit looser over layers, and because the black pattern on this one looks sick! This jacket is the perfect piece to throw in any pack and it takes up almost no space. It's so useful to have when encountering slightly colder temps, windy weather, or unexpected light rains.

June 3, 2019Super nice!
This is a really nice and light piece, wearing it over a tee when the sun is warm but the wind is chilly is the best combo, and it fits in your pocket or pack without much bulk. This jacket might as well be a staple for runners and climbers.

April 18, 2019This jacket is Molten Lava
My new favorite piece. Love the material, light weight and it packs up into a super small square to put away. Runs a little small but still fits me great!

April 15, 2019Perfect for The Pack
This is a perfect piece to have in your hiking pack, or just in your car. fits well, and works as a great layer for when it chills up, or weather rolls in. I've been keeping this in my fanny pack when riding MTN Bike.

April 11, 2019Always with you
Packing into its own pocket and feather weight, this item is one that will live on my harness on all summer climbs. There's nothing like a wind layer to change the chilly belay to pleasant, or to have something extra to throw on in layers if your descent ends up running later than expected.

April 10, 2019Feather Weight
Really lightweight and super minimal. All packed down, its just a bit bigger than a baseball. I recently took it on an ocean trip in Northern California. Fishing out on the cliffs, it kept the wind from kicking my butt. I also wore it out on the Kayak while crabbing to keep my upper body dry from splash. Worked like a charm. Use the hood as a stuff sack and this bad boy can be… read more tucked away for every adventure. Arms are a nice length, fits great but Iâd like to see it a bit longer in the body.

April 1, 2019Love this jacket
Jacket is super lightweight and packs down nicely. its more waterproof than my Patagonia Houdini but not quite as waterproof as my Goretex. the fit runs a little large for me to run in but is nice for wearing around town or hiking/climbing

July 27, 2019Is there a way to pack this into itself and hook to a biner on a harness? Looking for something for my partner to take on multipitch climbs without needing a pack to put it in.

May 24, 2019This appears to be similar to the Patagonia Houdini wind jacket in that it is minimal and light weight, but what is the weight of this jacket?
