Atomic Hawx Ultra Xtd 130 Alpine Touring Boot reviews and deals for sale
The Hawx Ultra Xtd 130 Alpine Touring Boot is Atomic's premier boot built with both touring and alpine skiing in mind. Its 130 flex offers one of the stiffest designs that's ideal for advanced or heavier skiers, and the 98mm is the narrowest Hawx Boot to ensure a precise performance. The Free/Lock 2.0 latch attaches so securely that the boot feels truly made for downhill riding at the resort, and unlatched it provides an outstanding range of motions for easy touring through the backcountry. Atomic made the boot out of Prolite polyamide for a lower weight, and an Energy Backbone in the back boasts a true flex all around the boot. The shell and liner are heat- and thermo-moldable to feel like the boot was built for your foot.

November 30, 2020The best performer in all categories!
Atomic REALLY nailed it with this boot! It’s truly the best of both worlds- stiff enough to charge hard in committing terrain while at the same time allowing impressive freedom of movement in walk mode. And, at about 1400 grams, they’re certainly one of the lightest, if not the lightest, in its class. I work as a full-time backcountry ski guide in the Wasatch and Tetons and… read more used these boots on 90% of my field days last season. Even with all that mileage, the boots didn’t seem to even begin to break down- the buckles are functioning like new, the liner is in great condition, and the ski/walk mode flips just as well as day 1. When I first got them, I was skeptical as the width was a narrow 98mm (I usually wear a 102mm) but the Memory Fit shells expended to fit my wide foot, my big malleolus, and every other part of my foot, which created the most comfortable boot I’ve ever toured in! From doing long tours in hard to reach locations, to skiing serious lines like the Grand Teton, to charging crud inbounds, these machines seem to handle it all equally as well.
