I'm super stoked on the new grip for these shoes. The Brewers are always my go to whitewater kayaking shoe because they're comfy, dry quickly, and are long lasting. What I really appreciate about the 2.0 is the improved sole, which is great both for slippery rocks and loose or muddy terrain.

Wore this for a few months and the upper broke away from the lower. Astral told me to glue it together...really.

These shoes are awesome, they're a perfect water/ hike shoe. I wish I had had these shoes on so many previous trips. They're great for wearing into the water, rafting, or kayaking. My first time wearing them I wore no socks and hiked into a high alpine lake, went swimming with them on and then hiked out. They dried super fast, and my feet were comfortable the whole time even when… read more hiking around in them wet. They gripped great as well, I noticed I didn't slide down any steep hills while hiking or walking around on wet rocks. These are my new go to adventure shoe!

Last year, I had the old style Brewess, and although I liked the functionality, the inside didn't feel finished. This year, Astral nailed it.
