Lightweight, comfortable, waterproof

I love these pants. I wore them in a rainstorm and when I got back in the house, I forgot to change out of them because they were ALREADY totally dry – no raindrops will adhere to these pants. I would say they're true to size, but if you're between sizes, consider sizing up. I got both an 8 and a 10. The 8s would be perfect if I didn't have a mom gut (y'all moms feel me) but they're read more still manageable for activity. The 10s feel better if I'm sitting.

Super good

I love these pants. I purchased them to replace another pair i had (but the LT version) that i wore to pieces. Like others have said, the sizing is a little off. I purchased a size 8, and I'm generally a size 6 in most things. The size 8 is pretty snug on me too! Im 6ft and 155lbs. I also noticed that Arctryx has switched from 2 thigh pockets, in past pants to 1 thigh pocket which read more is kinda lame because ladies don't get adequate pockets to start with, then they go take them away from us. Still love em tho!

Sizing is a bit off....

I purchased both the size 4 and 6. The difference is very slight; I actually think that one of the sizes is incorrectly labeled b/c I can't tell the difference. I am 5'6", have skinny legs and weigh 135 lbs. I do NOT have curves. I wear a 27/28 jean in 7s, Hudson's, R&B and Paige. The waist on both the size 4 & 6 is too tight. I can't figure out why Arct'eryx put a cinch belt on read more the these pants and chose to have such a narrow, high waist. Ladies, let me reiterate. These are VERY high waisted pants. I've been wearing the size 6 for 10 minutes and there is no way I can keep these. They're too uncomfortable. Such a bummer b/c the purple color is fantastic. If the waist were lower and more forgiving, I would have ordered a second pair in black......

Great rain pants

Not as thick as snow pants making them a great layer to wear on rainy or windy days to stay warm. Easy to move around in & fit true to size.

Arcteryx proves to be No. 1 again

I loved these pants from the moment I first tried them on! They fit really nicely and the cut is smooth and flattering. The material seems it will last a through a lot of backcountry use. The manufacturer claims the material is water-repellent but that is true only when the pants are new. I wouldn't really recommend them for winter sports (not waterproof, not warm enough) but they read more are absolute no.1 for mountaineeringa and backpacking.

Fantastic Mountaineering Pants!

I climbed Rainier in 20+ mile an hour (gusting into the low 30s) winds with just these pants and a mid-weight wool long underwear layer and they were fantastic. Warm, waterproof, breathable and comfortable. I highly, highly recommend these for extreme winter sports. I know now which pants I'll be backcountry skiing in this winter!

Love These Pants!

I am a petite woman with long legs and have trouble finding technical pants that fit great. The Gamma AR Pant has all the technical features I wanted in a mountaineering pant but could not find. I especially like the drawstring at the ankles to keep the pants up at the knees for the hike in, then tighten them back down for the climb. Great all day, all weather pants.
